INTRODUCTION.

En: 1739.12

This catalogue is primarily intended for use by the Purchasing and Mechanical Departments of our patrons and has been arranged with the idea of making it as convenient for rapid and accurate use as possible.

It contains only such materials as are required for High-Pressure Piping Systems, and is intended to be complete with the exception of specialties, for which reference should be made to pamphlets or catalogues devoted to such items by their manufacturers.

All the material shown is of our manufacture, with the exception of a few lines of screwed materials and a few items which have been shown in order to obviate the necessity of reference to other than specialty catalogues.

This book contains the new Universal Lists for Iron Body Gate Valves as adopted by the Manufacturers, November, 1911.

While keeping the main idea and purpose always before us, we have introduced a few diversions from ordinary catalogue building and we trust that our patrons will derive the benefits intended.

This book supersedes all previous catalogues, pamphlets, etc., in regard to all details and lists, and all such should be marked void or destroyed. The above does not refer to our tables of dimensions No. 101, which data is correct and has also been incorporated into this catalogue.

HOW TO ORDER MATERIALS SHOWN.

When ordering Wrought Pipe be sure to specify whether iron or steel is wanted, also what weight is necessary for service required.

When ordering Bends or special material of any kind always send sketch showing all dimensions obtainable, especially those referring to old parts, if

any.

When ordering staple articles shown always refer to figure number and page number of catalogue. Always be sure to specify number of each article wanted and how flanges are to be finished.

Always state how material is to be forwarded, with destination clearly marked.

COMMUNICATIONS.

When communicating much unnecessary delay will be obviated by observing the following:

[blocks in formation]

Make all freight shipments for delivery via Penna. R. R., B. & A. V. Div. to Verona, Pa.
