The attention of Officers on the Retired Lists, desirous of being considered in the awards of Naval and Greenwich Hospital Pensions, is directed to the necessity of applying to the Secretary to the Admiralty for the forms as to services, claims, circumstances, &c. required to be filled up by candidates. These Pensions are established for the purpose of affording relief to retired Officers of long service who are old, infirm, "wounded, or disabled," and in poor circumstances; the periods of service, &c. required to render them eligible are shown at page 625 of the Queen's Regulations and Admiralty Instructions of 1879.
