Doris Andrews was licensed as a Missionary in November 1988 under the leadership of the late Bishop Eugene Brown, Sr. of the Church of Christ (Holiness) U.S.A., headquarters in Jackson, Mississippi. She is a member of Future Church of Christ (Holiness) U.S.A. in Richmond, Virginia, where she serves as a missionary, sunday school teacher, counselor, deaconess, youth teacher, youth worker, altar worker, sanctuary praise leader, choir member, and publication administrator. In August 2004, she was elected President of the United Christian Women's Ministries for the Eastern Diocese Church of Christ (Holiness) U.S.A. She is also the Leadership Advisor for the Youth Conference of the Eastern Diocese Church of Christ (Holiness) U.S.A. At Future Church, she received the "Teacher of the Year" award in 2001 and 2002, "Woman of the Year" award in 1996, 1998, and 2004. Although Doris wears many hats, her greatest joy comes when God uses her in a unique way to minister His word to His people. Her pastor, Elder Maurice Nicholson, says she is a "practical" teacher, one who explains the scriptures so people of today can understand them. Doris and her husband David Andrews were joined in holy matrimony on July 1, 1978. After almost 28 years, the couple still says, "We are on our honeymoon." To this union, two fine sons (Derryck and Dominique) were born. Doris and David have over 50 combined years of service in the ministry.
