Jesus, shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen for the things which are seen, are temporal but the things which are not seen are eternal.-For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven.-For my names' sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for

thee, that I cut thee not off. Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.-This is my comfort in my affliction, for thy word hath quickened me.—I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted.-For he hath not despised, nor abhored the affliction of the afflicted, neither hath he hid his face from him, but when he cried unto him, he heard.—Who forgiveth all thine iniquities: who healeth all thy diseases. He hath not dealt with us after our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For she said within herself, if I may but touch the hem of his garment, I shall be whole:

THE CERTAINTY OF DEATH; THE SAINT'S TRIUMPH AND HIS SUPPORT IN DEATH.

MAN that is born of a woman, is of few days, and full of trouble: he cometh forth like a flower; and is cut down, he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.-All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: the grass withereth, the flower fadeth; because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it.-In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth. We spend our years as a tale that is told. The days of our

years are threescore and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.-Man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he? so man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.-Ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little. time, and then vanisheth away.— The eye of him that hath seen me shall see me no more: thine eyes are upon me, and I am not.
