Glory be to the holy and eternal Spirit of God, the Holy Ghoft the comforter, the sanctifying and life-giving Spirit.

All glory and thanks, all honor and power, all love and obedience, be to the blessed and undivided Trinity, one God eternal.

All

The heavens declare thy glory, the earth confesses thy Providence, the sea manifests thy power; and every spirit, with every understanding creature, celebrates thy greatness for ever and ever. glory and majesty, all praises and dominion be unto thee, O God, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, Amen.

THE grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit of God, be with us, and with all our relatives, and with all the servants of God, this day and for evermore. Amen.

SUNDAY EVENING.

ALMIGHTY God, our glory and our hope, the Father of mercy, and the God of all comfort, we humbly present to thee the sacrifice of a thankful spirit, in a joyful acknowlegement of those infinite favors, by which thou hast supported our state, comforted our sorrows, relieved our necessi

ties, blessed and defended our persons, instructed our ignorances, and promoted our eternal interest. We praise thy name for that portion of thy holy word of which thou hast made us partakers this day. Grant that it may bring forth fruit unto thee, and unto holiness in our whole life, to the glory of thy holy name, the edification of our brethren, and the eternal comfort of our souls in the day of our Lord Jesus.

Have mercy upon all that desire, and upon all that need, our prayers. Ease the pains of the sick, support the spirit of the disconsolate, hear the cries of orphans and widows in their calamity, and restore all that are oppressed to their rights, and sanctify to them all their wrongs; pity the folly, and alleviate the calamities, of poor mankind: in mercy remember those that are appointed to die, comfort and support their spirits, perfect and accept their repentance, and receive their souls returning unto thee, whom thou hast redeemed with thy most precious blood.

Lord, pity and pardon, direct and bless, sanctify and save us all. Give repentance to all that live in sin, and perseverance to all thy sons and servants, for his sake who is thy beloved, and the foundation of all our hopes, our blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus, to whom with thee, O Father, and the Holy Spirit, be all honor and glory, praise and adoration, love and obedience, now and for evermore. Amen.

TU

O HOLY

O HOLY and eternal Jesus, who hast overcome death, and triumphed over all the powers of hell, darkness, sin, and the grave, manifesting the truth of thy promises, the power of thy divinity, the majesty of thy person, the rewards of thy glory, and the mercies and excellent designs of thy evangelical kingdom, by thy glorious and powerful resurrection; preserve our souls from eternal death. Make us to rise from the death of sin, and to live the life of Grace, loving thy perfections, adoring thy mercy, pursuing the interest of thy kingdom, being united to the Church under thee our head, conforming to thy holy laws, established in faith, confirmed in a modest, humble, and certain hope, and sanctified by charity; that we, engraving thee on our heart, submitting to thee in our spirit, and imitating thee in thy glorious example, may be partakers of thy resurrection, which is our hope and our desire, the support of our faith, the object of our joy, and the strength of our confidence. In thee, Holy Jesus, do we trust: we confess thy faith, we believe all that thou hast taught; we desire to perform all thy injunctions: do thou support, and guide, and pity our infirmities; and when thou shalt reveal thy great day, shew to us the mercies and effects of thy Intercession and Redemption. Thou art just, thou art merciful, thou art gracious and compassionate, thou hast done miracles and prodigies of favor to us, and all the world. We are thine, O save us; and let us dwell with thee, adoring and praising the eternal glories of God, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

O HOLY

O HOLY Jesus, who didst fulfil all righteousness, submitting thyself to all rites and sanctions of divine Institution; give us Grace to live in the fellowship of thy holy Church, a life of piety, and without singularity, receiving the holy influence of thy Sacraments and Ordinances, and living in the purity and innocence of our first sanctification. We adore thy infinite goodness, that thou hast been pleased to wash our souls in the laver of regeneration, that thou hast admitted us to the communion of thy body and blood. Let us not return to the infirmities of "the old man," whom thou hast crucified on thy cross, and who was buried with thee in Baptism; nor renew the crimes of our sinful years, which were so many departures from baptismal purity: but let us ever receive the influences of thy divine Spirit, and be thy children, partners of thine immortal inheritance. And grant that we may so walk, that we may neither discredit the honor of the Christian institution, nor stain the whiteness of that innocence with which thou didst invest our souls, when we put on the baptismal robe; nor break our holy vow, nor lose our right of inheritance which thou hast given us by promise and Grace; but that thou mayest love us with paternal love, and we serve thee in the communion of saints, in the observance of Ordinances, in the actions of a holy life, and in uninterrupted devotion; to the glory of thy name, and the promotion of all those ends of Religion, which thou hast designed in that blessed Institution which thou hast been pleased, in thy abundant love, to communi

cate

cate to thy creatures. Grant this, holy Jesus, for thy mercy's sake, and for the honor of thy name, which is, and shall be adored for ever and ever. Amen,

O ETERNAL and ever-blessed Jesus, who didst choose disciples to be witnesses of thy life and miracles, so adopting men into a participation of thy great employment of bringing us to heaven, by the means of a holy doctrine; be pleased to give us thy Grace, that we may love and revere their persons whom thou hast set over us, following their faith, and imitating their lives, as long as they shall imitate thee; and that we also, in our capacity and proportion, may do some of the meaner offices of a spiritual-building by prayer, by holy discourses, and friendly exhortations, doing advantages to such souls with whom we shall converse. Thou wast pleased to enter upon the stage of the world with the commencement of mercy and a miracle; be pleased, O God, to visit our souls with thy miraculous Grace; turn our natural desires into supernatural perfections, and let our sorrows be turned into joys, our sins into virtuous habits, the weaknesses of humanity into communications of the divine nature, that we may, by thy assistance, grow from grace to grace, till thy gifts be turned into reward, and thy graces to participation of thy glory, O eternal and ever-blessed Jesus, in whose prevailing name and words we sum up all our wants, saying,

Our Father, &c.
