Und als er das gesagt, verschied er. 47 Da aber der Hauptmann sah, was da geschah, pries er Gott, und sprach: Fürwahr, dieser ist ein from mer Mensch gewesen. 48 Und alles Volk, das dabeh war und zusah, da sie sahen, was da geschah; schlugen sie an ihre Brüst, und wandten wieder um. 49 E8 standen aber alle seine Verwandte von ferne, und die Weiber, die ihm aus Galiläa waren nachgefolget, und fahen das alles. 50 Und siehe, ein Mann, mit Namen Joseph, ein Rathsherr, der war ein guter frommer Mann. 51 Der hatte nicht gewilliget in ihren Nath und Handel; der war von Arimathia, der Stadt der Juden, der auch auf das Reich Gottes wartete. 52 Der gieng zu Pilato, und bat um den Leib Jesu, 53 Und nahm ihn ab wickelte ihn in eine Leinwand, und legte ihn in ein gehauen Grab, darinnen Niemand je gelegen war. 54 Und es war der Rüsttag, und der Sabbath brach an. 55 Es folgten aber die Weiber nach, die mit ihm gekommen waren aus Galilaa, und beschaueten das Grab, und wie sein Leib geleget ward. 56 Sie fehreten aber um, und bereiteten Spezeren und Salben; und den Sabbath über waren sie stille nach dem Gesetze. Das 24 Capitel. over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45 And the sun was darkened, and the vail of the temple was rent in the midst. 46 T And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.. 47 Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a right eous man.. 48 And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts and returned. 49 And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things. 50 ¶ And behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor and he was a good man, and a just: 51 (The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them :) he was of Arimathea, a city of the Jews; who also himself waited for the kingdom of God. 52 This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. 53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. 54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. 55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. 56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath-day, according to the commandment. CHAPTER XXIV. [OW upon the first day of the Aber an der Sabbather Erftem fehr week, very early in the morn frühe, kamen sie zum Grabe, und N trugen die Spezerch, die sie bereitet hatten, und etliche mit ihnen. 2 Sie fanden aber den Stein abgewälzet von dem Grabe; 3 und giengen hinein, und fanden den Leib des Herrn Jesu nicht. 4 Und da sie darum bekümmert warenstehe, da traten zu ihnen zween Männer mit glänzenden Kleidern. 5 Und sie erschracken, und schlugen ihre Angesichter nicder zu der Erde. Da sprachen sie zu ihnen: Was suchet ihr den Lebendigen bey den Todten ? 6 Er ist nicht hier, er ist auferstanden. Gedenket daran, wie er euch sagte, da er noch in Galiäa war. 7 Und sprach: Des. Menschen Sohn muß überantwortet werden in die Hände der Sünder, und gefreuziget werden, und am dritten Tage auferstehen. 8 Und sie gedachten an seine Worte. 9 Und sie giengen wieder vom Grabe, und verkündigten das alles den Eilfen, und den ändern allen. 10. Es war aber Maria Magdalena, und Johanna, und Maria Jakobi und andere mit ihnen, die solches den Aposteln sagten. 11 Und es däuchten sie ihre Worte eben als wären es Mährlein, und glaubten ihnen nicht. 12 Petrus aber stand auf, und lief zum Grabe, und bückte sich hinein, und sah die leinenen Tücher allein liegen, und gieng davon; und es nahm ihn Wunder, wie es zugienge. 13 Und siehe, zween aus ihnèn giengen an demselbigen Tage in einen Flecken, der war von Jerusalem sechzig Feldweges weit, deß Name heißt Emmaus. 14. Und sie redeten mit einander von allen diesen Geschichten. 15 Und es geschah, da sle so redeteit, und befragten sich mit einander, nahete .ing, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. 3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. 5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but is risen. Remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, 7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. 8 And they remembered his words, 9 And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest. 10 It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles. 11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believ ed them not. 12 Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre, and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass. 13 And behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs. 14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened. 15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together, Jesus zu ihnen, und wandelte mit ihnen. 16 Aber ihre Augen wurden gehalten, daß sie ihn nicht kannten. 17 Er sprach aber zu ihnen: Was find das für Reden, die ihr zwischen euch handelt unterweges, und sehd traurig? 18 Da antwortete einer, mit Namen Kleophas, und sprach zu ihm: Bist du allein unter den Fremdlingen zu Jerusalem, der nicht wisse, was in diesen Tagen darinnen geschehen ist? 19 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Welches? Sie aber sprachen zu ihm: Das von Jesu von Nazareth, welcher war ein Prophet, mächtig von Thaten und Worten, vor Gott und allem Volke; 20 Wie ihn unsere Hohenpriester und Obersten überantwortet haben zur Verdammniß des Todes, und gekreuziget. 21 Wir aber hofften, er sollte Israel erlösen. Und über das alles ist heute der dritte Tag, daß solches geschehen ist. and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. 16 But their eyes were holden, that they should not know him. 17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad? 18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering, said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days? 19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God, and all the people: 20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be con[demned to death, and have crucified him. 21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and besides all this, today is the third day since these things were done. 22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre. 23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive. 24 And certain of them which were with us, went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not. 25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning at Moses, and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. 28 Und sie kamen nahe zum Flecken, da ste hingiengen; und er stellete sich, als wollte er weiter gehen. 29 Und sie nöthigten ihn, und, sprachen: Bleibe beh uns, denn es will Abend werden, und der Tag hat sich geneiget. Und er gieng hinein, be ihnen zu bleiben. 30 Und es geschah, da er mit ihnen zu Tische faß; nahm er das Brod, dankte, brach es, und gab es ihnen. 31 Da wurden ihre Augen geöffnet, und erkannten ihn. Und er verschwand vor ihnen. 32 Und sie sprachen unter einander : Brannte nicht unser Herz in uns, da er mit uns redete auf dem Wege, als er uns die Schrift öffnete ? 33 Und sie standen auf zu derfelbigen Stunde, kehreten wieder gen rusalem, und fanden die Eilfe verfammelt, und die bey ihnen waren, 28 And they drew nigh unto the village whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further. 29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. 30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him: and he vanished out of their sight. 32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us. while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? 33 And they rose up the same Je-hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them, 34 Welche sprachen: Der Herr ist wahrhaftig auferstanden, und Simoni erschienen. 35 Und sie erzählten ihnen, was auf dem Wege geschehen war, und wie er von ihnen erkannt wäre an dem, da er das Brod brach. 36 Da sie aber davon redeten, trat er selbst, Jesus, mitten unter siè, und sprach zu ihnen: Friede seh mit euch! 37 Sie erschracken aber, und fürchteten sich meineten, ste sähen einen Geift. 38 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Was fehd ihr so erschrocken? Und warum kommen solche Gedanken in eure her zen? 39 Sehet meine Hände, und meine Füsse, ich bin es selber; fühlet mich, und sehet! Denn ein Geist hat nicht Fleisch und Bein, wie ihr sehet, daß ich habe. 40 Und da er das sagte, zeigte er Ihnen Hände und Füsse. 34 Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon. 35 And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread. 36 T And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. 37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. 38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do. thoughts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. 40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. 41 Da sie aber noch nicht glaubten 41 And while they yet believed vor Freuden, und sich verwunderten, | not for joy, and wondered, he said sprach er zu ihnen: Habt ihr hier unto them, Have ye here any meat? etwas zu essen? 7 42 Und sie legten ihm vor ein Stück 42 And they gave him a piece of von gebratenem Fische, und Honiga broiled fish, and of an honeyseim. comb. 43 Uud er nahm es und aß vor ihnen. 44 Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Das sind die Reden, die ich zu euch sagte, da ich noch beh euch war; denn es muß alles erfüllet werden, was von mir geschrieben ist im Gesetze Mosis, in den Propheten und in den Psalmen. 45 Da öffnete er ihnen das Verständniß, daß sie die Schrift verstanden. 46 Und sprach zu ihnen: Also ist es geschrieben, und also mußte Christus leiden, und auferstehen von den Todten am dritten Tage. 47 Und predigen lassen in sei= nem Namen Buffe und Vergebung der Sünden unter allen Völkern, und anheben zu Jerusalem. 48 Ihr aber sehd deß alles Zeugen. 49 Und siehe, ich will auf euch senden die Verheissung meines Vaters. Ihr aber follt in der Stadt Jerusalem bleiben, bis daß ihr angethan werdet mit Kraft aus der Höhe. 50 Er führete sie aber hinaus bis gen Bethanien; und hob die Hände auf und fegnete sie. 51 Und es geschah, da er sie segnete, schied er von ihnen, und fuhr auf gen Himmel. 52 Sie aber beteten ihn an, und kehrten wieder gen Jerusalem mit groffer Freude; 53 Und waren allewege im Tempel, priesen und lobten Gott. 43 And he took it, and did eat before them. 44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. 45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 And ye are witnesses of these things. 49 ¶ And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. 50 T And he led them out as far as to Bethany and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. 51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. 52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: 53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God.
