59 Da hoben sie Steine auf, daß sie auf ihn würfen. Aber Jesus verbarg fich, und ging zum Tempel hinaus, mitten durch sie hinstreichend. Das 9 Capitel. 59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. CHAPTER IX. Da ging er hin, und wusch sich, und kam sehend. 8 Die Nachbarn, und die ihn zuvor gesehen hatten, daß er ein Bettler war, sprachen: Ist dieser nicht, der da saß und bettelte ? 9 Etliche sprachen: Er ist es.. Etliche aber: Er ist ihm ähnlich. Er selbst aber sprach: Ich bin es. 10 Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Wie sind deine Augen aufgethan? 11 Er antwortete, und sprach: Der Mensch, der Jesus heißt, machte einen Koth, und schmierete meine Augen, und sprach, gehe hin zu dem Teiche Siloha, und wasche dich. Ich ging hin, und wusch mich, und ward fehend. 12. Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Wo ist derselbige? Er sprach: Ich weiß nicht. work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. 8 T The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? 9 Some said, This is he others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he. 10 Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened? 11 He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus, made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight. 12 Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not. 13 Da führeten sie ihn zu den Phari fäern, der weiland blind war. 14 (Es war aber Sabbath, da Jesus den Koth machte, und seine Augen öffnete.) 15 Da fragten sie ihn abermal, auch die Pharisäer, wie er wäre sehend geworden? Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Koth legte er mir auf die Augen, und ich wusch mich, und bin nun sehend. 16 Da sprachen etliche der Pharifäer: Der Mensch ist nicht von Gott, dieweil er den Sabbath nicht hält. Die Andern aber sprachen: Wie kann ein fündiger Mensch solche Zeichen thun? Und es ward eine Zwietracht unter ihnen. 17 Sie sprachen wieder zu dem Blinden: Was sagst Du von ihm, daß er hat deine Augen aufgethan? Er aber sprach: Er ist ein Prophet. 18 Die Juden glaubten nicht von ihm, daß er blind gewesen, und sehend geworden wäre, bis daß sie riefen die Eltern deß, der sehend war geworden, 19 Fragten sie, und sprachen: Ist das euer Sohn, welchen ihr sagt, er fey blind geboren? Wie ist er denn nun sehend? 20 Seine Eltern antworteten ihnen, und sprachen: Wir wissen, daß dieser unser Sohn ist, und daß er blind geboren ist. 21 Wie er aber nun sehend ist, wisfen wir nicht, oder wer ihm hat seine Augen aufgethan, wissen wir auch nicht. Er ist alt genug, fragt ihn, laßt ihn selbst für sich reden. 22 Solches sagten seine Eltern, denn sie fürchteten sich vor den Juden. Denn die Juden hatten sich schon vereiniget, so Jemand ihn für Christum bekennete, daß derselbige in den Bann gethan würde. 23 Darum sprachen seine Eltern: Er ist alt genug, fragt ihn. 24 Da riefen sie zum andern Male den Menschen, der blind gewesen war, und sprachen zu ihm: Gib Gott die Ehre; wir wissen, daß dieser Mensch | ein Sünder ist. 13 T They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind. 14 And it was the sabbath-day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes. 15 Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and 1 washed, and do see. 16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sab. bath-day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such. miracles? And there was a division among them. 17 They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet. 18 But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight. 19 And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? How then doth he now see? 20 His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind : 21 But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself. 22 These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. 23 Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him. 24 Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner. 25 Er antwortete und sprach: If 25 He answered and said, Whe er ein Sünder, daß weiß ich nicht. |ther he be a sinner or no, I know 27 Er antwortete ihnen: Ich habe es euch jetzt gesagt; habt ihr es nicht gehöret? Wollt ihr auch seine Jünger werden? 28 Da fluchten sie ihm, und spra= chen: Du bist sein Jünger; wir aber find Mosis Jünger. 29 Wir wissen, daß Gott mit Mose geredet hat; diesen aber wissen wir nicht, von wannen er ist. 30 Der Mensch antwortete, und sprach zu ihnen: Das ist ein wunderlich Ding, daß ihr nicht wisset, von wannen er seh; ́ und er hat meine Augen aufgethan. 31 Wir wissen aber, daß Gott die Sünder nicht höret; sondern so Jemand gottesfürchtig ist, und thut seinen Willen, den höret er. 32 Von der Welt an ist es nicht erhöret, daß Jemand einen gebornen Blinden die Augen aufgethan habe. 33 Wäre dieser nicht von Gott, er könnte nichts thun. 34 Sie antworteten, und sprachen zu ihm, du bist ganz in Sünden geboren, und lehrest uns? Und stießzen ihn hinaus. 35 Es kam vor Jesum, daß sie ihn ausgestoßen hatten. Und da er ihn fand, sprach er zu ihm: Glaubst du an den Sohn Gottes ? 36 Erantwortete, und sprach: Herr, welcher ists, auf daß ich an ihn glaube? 37 Jesus sprach zu ihm: Du hast ihn gesehen, und der mit dir redet, der ist es. 38 Er aber sprach: Herr, ich glaube; und betete ihn an. 39 Und Jesus sprach: Ich bin zum Gerichte auf diese Welt gekommen, auf daß, die da nicht sehen, sehend werden, und die da sehen, blind wer den. 40 Und solches höreten etliche der 26 Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes? 27 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples? 28 Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples. 29 We know that God spake unto Moses; as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is. 30 The man answered and said unto them, Why, herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes. 31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. 32 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. 33 If this man were not of God, he could do nothing. 34 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out. 35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out: and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? 36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? 37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. 38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. 39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world; that they which see not might see, and that they which see, might be made blind. 40 And some of the Pharisees Pharifäer, die beh ihm waren, und fprachen zu ihm: Sind wir denn auch blind? 41 Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Wäret ihr blind, so hättet ihr keine Sünde; nun ihr aber sprechet: Wir sind sehend, bleibet eure Sünde. CHAPTER X. Mahrlich, wahrlich, ich fage euch: ERILY, verily, I say unto you, VERILY, I un toy nicht zur Thüre hinein gehet in den Schafstall, sondern steiget anderswo hinein, der ist ein Dieb und ein Mörder. 2 Der aber zur Thüre hinein gehet, der ist ein Hirt der Schafe. 3 Demselbigen thut der Thürhüter auf, und die Schafe hören seine Stimme; und er ruft seine Schafe mit Namen, und führet sie aus. 4 Und wenn er seine Schafe hat ausgelassen, gehet er vor ihnen hin, und die Schafe folgen ihm nach; denn fie kennen seine Stimme. 5 Einem Fremden aber folgen fie nicht nach, sondern fliehen von ihm; denn sie kennen der Fremden Stimme nicht. 6 Diesen Spruch sagte Jesus zu ihnen; sie vernahmen aber nicht, was es war, das er zu ihnen sagte. 7 Da sprach Jesus wieder zu ihnen: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Ich bin die Thüre zu den Schafen. 8 Alle, die vor mir gekommen sind, die sind Diebe und Mörder gewesen; aber die Schafe haben ihnen nicht | gehorchet. 9 Ich bin die Thüre; so Jemand durch mich eingehet, der wird selig werden, und wird ein-und ausgehen, und Weide finden. 10 Ein Dieb kommt nicht, denn daßz er stehle, würge und umbringe. 11 Ich bin gekommen, daß sie das Leben und volle Genüge haben sollen. 12 Ich bin ein guter Hirt. Ein gu door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he that entereth in by the door, is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. 6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. 7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. 12 But he that is an hireling, and ter Hirt läßt sein Leben für die Schafe. Ein Miethling aber, der nicht Hirt ist, deß die Schafe nicht eigen sind, stehet den Wolf kommen, und verläßt die Schafe, und fliehet; und der Wolf erhaschet und zerstreuet die Schafe. 13 Der Miethling aber fliehet, denn er ist ein Miethling, und achtet der Schafe nicht. 14 Ich bin ein guter Hirt, und erkenne die Meinen, und bin bekannt den Meinen; 15 Wie mich mein Vater kennet, und ich kenne den Vater. Und ich lasse mein Leben für die Schafe. 16 Und ich habe noch andere Schafe, die sind nicht aus diesem Stalle. Und dieselbigen muß ich herführen, und sie werden meine Stimme hören, und wird Eine Heerde und Ein Hirt werden. 17 Darum liebet mich mein Vater, daß ich mein Leben lasse, auf daß ich es wieder nehme. 18 Niemand nimmt es von mir, sondern ich lasse es von mir selber. Ich habe es Macht zu lassen, und habe es Macht wieder zu nehmen. Solches Gebot habe ich empfangen von meinem Vater. not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth; and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. 13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and Í lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. 17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself.
