Năm 8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? 9 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air. 10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. 11 Therefore, if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me. 12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. 13 Wherefore, let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue, pray that he may interpret. 14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. 15 What is it then? I will pray lich also: Ich will beten mit dem Geifte, und will beten auch im Sinne; ich will Psalmen fingen im Geiste, und will auch Psalmen singen mit dem Sinne. 16 Wenn du aber segnest im Geiste, wie soll der, der an Statt des Laien steht, Amen sagen auf deine Dankfagung; sintemat er nicht verstehet, was du sagest? 17 Du danksagest wohl fein, aber der Andere wird nicht davon gebessert. 18 Ich danke meinem Gott, daß ich mehr mit Zungen rede, denn ihr Alle. 19 Aber ich will in der Gemeine lieber fünf Worte reden mit meinem Sin ne, auf daß ich auch andere unterweise, denn sonst zehn tausend Worte mit Zungen. 20 Lieben Brüder, werdet nicht Kinder an dem Verständnisse; sondern an der Bosheit sehd Kinder, an dem Ver- | ständnisse aber seyd vollkommen. 21 Im Gesetze steht geschrieben: Ich will mit andern Zungen und mit andern Lippen reden zu diesem Volke, und sie werden mich auch also nicht hören, spricht der Herr. 22 Darum so sind die Zungen zum Zeichen, nicht den Gläubigen, sondern den Ungläubigen; die Weissagung aber nicht den Ungläubigen, sondern den Gläubigen. 23 Wenn nun die ganze Gemeine zusammen fäme an einen Orte, und redeten alle mit Zungen; es kämen aber hinein Laien oder Ungläubige; würden sie nicht sagen, ihr wäret unfinnig? 24 So sie aber Alle weissagten, und fäme dann ein Ungläubiger oder Laie hinein, der würde von denselbigen Allen gestraft, und von Allen gerichtet. 25 Und also würde das Verborgene seines Herzens offenbar; und er würde also fallen auf sein Angesicht, Gott anbeten und bekennen, daß Gott wahr haftig in euch sey. 26 Wie ist ihm denn nun, lieben Brüder? Wann ihr zusammen kommt, so hat ein jeglicher Psalmen, er hat with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. 16 Else, when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest? 17 For thou verily givest thanks well. but the other is not edified. 18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than all: ye 19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue. 20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit, in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men. 21 In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord. 22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. 23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? 24 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: 25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face, he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. 26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a 28 Ist er aber nicht ein Ausleger, so schweige er unter der Gemeine; rede aber ihm selber und Goft. 29 Die Weissager aber lasset reden, Zween oder Dreh, und die Andern lafset richten. 30 So aber eine Offenbarung ge= schieht einem Andern, der da sitzt, so schweige der Erste. 31 Ihr föunet wohl Alle weissagen, Einer nach dem Andern, auf daß sie Alle lernen, und Alle ermahnet werden. 32 Und die Geister der Propheten find den Propheten unterthan. -33 Denn Gott ist nicht ein Gott der Unordnung, sondern des Friedens, wie in allen Gemeinen der Heiligen. 34 Eure Weiber lasset schweigen unter der Gemeine; denn es soll ihnen nicht zugelassen werden, daß sie reden, sondern unterthan sehn, wie auch das Gesetz sagt. 35 Wollen sie aber etwas lernen, so lasset sie daheim ihre Männer fragen. Es steht den Weibern übel an, unter der Gemeine reden. 36 Oder ist das Wort Gottes von euch ausgekommen? Oder ist es allein zu euch gekommen? 37 So sich Jemand läßt dünken, er feh ein Prophet, oder geistlich, der er kenne, was ich euch schreibe; denn es sind des Herrn Gebote. 38 Ist aber Jemand unwissend, der sey unwissend. 39 Darum, lieben Brüder, fleissiget euch des Weissagens, und wehret nicht, mit Zungen zu reden. 40 Lasset Alles ehrlich und ordentlich zugehen. doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. 27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. 29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. 30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let' the first hold his peace. 31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 34 Let your women keep silence in the churches; for it is not permitted unto them to speak: but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. 35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home; for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. 36 What! came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? 37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. 38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. 39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. 40 Let all things be done decently, and in order. CHAPTER XV. MOREOVER, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believ|ed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all, that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. 9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me, was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. 11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed. 12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 14 Ist aber Christus nicht auferstanden, so ist unsere Predigt vergeblich), so ist auch euer Glaube vergeblich., 15 Wir würden aber auch erfunden falsche Zeugen Gottes, daß wir wider Gott gezeuget hätten, er hätte Chriftum auferwecket, den er nicht auferwecet hätte, sintemal die Todten nicht auferstehen. 16 Denn so die Todten nicht auferstehen, so ist Christus auch nicht auferstanden. 17 Ist Christus aber nicht auferstanden, so ist euer Glaube eitel, so send ihr noch in euern Sünden ; 18 So sind auch die, so in Christo eutschlafen sind, verloren. 19 Hoffen wir allein in diesem Leben auf Christum, so sind wir die Elendeften unter allen Menschen. 20 Nun aber ist Christus aufèrstanden von den Todten, und der Erstling geworden unter denen, die da schlafen. 21 Sintemal durch einen Menschen der Tod, und durch einen Menschen die Auferstehung der Todten kommt. 22 Denn gleichwie sie in Adam Alle sterben, also werden sie in Christo Alle lebendig gemacht werden. 23 Ein Jeglicher aber in seiner Ordnung. Der Erstling Christus. Darnach die Christo angehören, wann er kommen wird. 24 Darnach das Ende, wenn er das Reich Gott und dem Vater überantworten wird; wann er aufheben wird alle Herrschaft, und alle Obrigkeit und Gewalt. 25 Er muß aber herrschen, bis daß er alle seine Feinde unter seine Füffe-lege. 26. Der letzte Feind, der aufgehoben wird, ist der Tod. 27 Denn er hat ihm alles unter seine Füsse gethan. Wenn er aber fagt, daß es Alles unterthan seh, ist es of fenbar, daß ausgenommen ist, der ihm Alles untergethan hat. 28 Wenn aber Alles ihm unterthan seyn wird, alsdann wird auch der Sohn selbst unterthan seyn dem, der ihm Alles untergethan hat, auf daß Gott seh Alles in Allen. 29 Was machen souft, die sich taufen 14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19 If in this life only, we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the first-fruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule, and all authority, and power. 25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted which did put all things under him. 28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. 29 Else what shall they do, which |
