DIVINE TITLES GIVEN TO CHRIST.
I. CHRIST is the Son of God. Ps. ii. John x. 36. Say ye, Thou blasphemest, 7. Thou art my Son, this day have I be- because I said, I am the Son of God? gotten thee.-Ver. 12. Kiss the Son, lest Ver. 25. 32. 37. Ch. xv. 10. he be angry, and ye perish.
xix. 7. The Jews said, By our law he lxxxix. 27. I will make him my first- ought to die, because he made himself the born, higher than the kings of the earth. Son of God.
Isa. ix. 6. Unto us a Son is given, and xx. 17. I ascend to my Father and the government shall be upon his should your Father; to my God and your God. der.
Ver. 31. These are written, that ye Matt. iii. 17. A voice from heaven, say: might believe that Jesus is the Christ, ing, This is my beloved Son, in whom I the Son of God. am well pleased.
