HOW TO BE KEPT IN THE

WILDERNESS.

Exod. xvi, 5, 22-30. And it shall Come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily. And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses. HOW TO BE KEPT ALWAYS. NO SECULAR WORK DONE. Exod. xxxiv, 21. Six days thou shalt work; but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earingtime and in harvest thou shalt rest.

Exod. xxxv, 2, 3. Six days shall work be done; but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein kindle no fire throughout your shall be put to death. Ye shall habitations upon the sabbath-day.

Lev. xxiii, 3. Six days shall work the sabbath of rest, an holy conbe done; but the seventh day is Vocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

BE ENJOYED. Ezek. xlvi, 1. Thus saith the Lord GOD, The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new-moon it shall be opened.

Acts xiii, 14, 42, 44. But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath-day, and sat down. And

when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. And the next sabbath-day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

Acts xvi, 13. And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a riverside, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.

Acts xvil, 1, 2. Now, when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: And Paul as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath-days reasoned with them out of the scriptures.

Acts xviil, 4. And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
