and the two sons of Zebedee,

and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

ke do bete apne sath liye, aur gham aur koft kháne lagá.

38 Tab us ne unhep kahá, Merá dil marne tak ghamgín hai: tum yahan tawaqquf karo, aur mere sáth jágte raho.

39 Aur wuh thorí dúr gayá, aur aundhe munh girá, aur yún kahke duá mángí, ki Ai mere Báp, agar mumkin ho, to is piyale ko mujh se guzrá: lekin na aisá ki main cháhtá hún, balki tú jaisá cháhtá hai.

40 Tab shagirdon ke pás áyá, aur unhen sote páyá, aur Pitras ko kahá, Kyá tum ek saat bhí mere sath jágte na rah sake?

41 Jágo, aur dua karo, táki tum imtihan men na paro: filwáqia ráh mustaidd hai, par jism nátawán hai.

42 Wuh do bárah phir gayá, aur yún kahke duá mángne lagá, ki Aimere Báp, agar yih piyala mujh se, siwá is ke ki main use píún, guzar na sake, terí khwáhish wáqia ho je.

43 Aur wuh áyá, aur unheu phir sote payá: kyúŋki un kí ánkhen khwábálóda thín.

44 Aur unhen chhorkar phir chala gayá, aur wahi kalima kahke tísrí bár duá mángí.

45 Phir apne shágirdon pás áyá, aur un se kahá, ki Ab sote raho, aur árám karo: dekho ki gharí nazdík pahunchí, aur Ibn i ádam badkáron ke háthon men hawála kiyá játa hai.

46 Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.

47¶ And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve,

came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

48 Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.

49 And forth with he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, Master; and kissed him.

50 And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.

51 And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.

52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. 53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be ?

55 In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me?

46 Utho, ki ham rawána howen; dekho, ki wuh shakhs, jo mujhe hawála karegá, nazdík hai.

47 Aur jis waqt wuh yih kah rahá thá, wohin Yahúdá, jo un bárah men se ek thá, ek bará amboh sardár káhinon aur qaum ke mashaikh ki taraf se talwáren, aur sonțe liye húe sáth leke áyá.

48 Ab, jis ne use pakaṛwayá, us ne unhen yih kahke patá diyá thá, ki Jis ká main bosa lún, wuh wahi hai use pak ar lo.

49 Aur filfaur sá pás áyá, aur yih kahke, ki Ai Rabbi, salám; us ká bosa liya.

50 Aur sá ne use kahá, ki Ai miyán, tú kis liye áyá? Tab we a pahunchkar use dastgír kiyá, aur pakar liya.

51 ¶ Aur dekho, ek ne un men se jo sá ke sáth the, háth lambá karke, apní talwár khenchí, aur sardár káhin ke ek khadim ko lagái, aur us ká kán uṛá diyá. 52 Tab Psá ne use kahá, ki Apní talwar phir miyán men kar; is liye ki we jo tegh khenchte hain, tegh hí se máre jáenge.

53 Kyá tú nahín jántá, ki main is dam apne Báp se máng sakta hún, aur wuh firishton ke bárah faujon se ziyada mujh pás házir karegá?

54 Par tab kitábon ká likhná ki yún honá zarár hai, kyúnkar púrá hogá?

55 Aur usi waqt sá ne jamáaton ko kahá, ki Tum mere pakarne ko jaise chor ke liye

us whether thou be the Christ, Khudá ká Betá hai, to ham se sach kah.

the son of God.

64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou

hast said

nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

66 What think ye? They annswered and said, He is guilty of death.

67 Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands.

68 Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?

69 Now Peter sat without in the palace and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.

70 But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.

71 And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.

72 And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.

73 And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said

64 sá ne us ko kahá, ki Tá hí ne kahá: lekin main tum se kahta hún, ki bád is ke tum Ibn i ádam qúwat ke dahine háth par baiṭhá húá, aur ásmán kí badli par átá húá dekhoge.

65 Tab sardár káhin ne apne kapre pháre, aur kahá, Yih kufr kah chuká hai; ab hamen áge gawáhon kí kyá hájat hai? dekho, ab tum ne us ká kufr bákná suná.

66 Ab kya sochte ho? We jawab men bole, ki Wuh wájib ul qatl hai.

67 Tab unhon ne us ke muuh par thúká, aur use ghúnse, aur auro ne yún kahke tamánche máre,

68 Ki Ai Masih, hamen nabúwat se khabar de, Yih jo tujhe tamáncha mártá hai, kaun hai ? 69 Aur Pitras báhar díwánkháne men baithá thá: ki ek sahelí us pás áí, aur bolí, ki sáe Jalili ke sath tú bhí thá.

70 Par us ne sab ke áge inkár kiya, aur kahá, Main nahín jántá tú kya kahti hai.

71 Aur jab wuh dahliz par bahar áyá, ek dusre ne use dekhkar un se, jo wahan the, kahá, ki Yih shakhs bhí sáe Násarí ke sáth thá.

72 Aur us ne qasam kháke, phir inkár kiya, ki Main us shakhs ko nahíp jántá.

73 Aur thorí der píchhe we, jo wahan khare the, Pitras pás áye,

to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.

74 Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock

crew.

75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

CHAPTER XXVII.

1 When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

2 And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

3 Then Judas, which had ¶ betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

aur bole, ki Beshakk tú bhí unhen men se hai; ki terí bolí tujhe záhir karti hai.

74 Us waqt us ne lanat karne, aur qasamen kháne lagá, aur kahne lagá, ki Main us shakhs ko nahíp jántá. Aur murgh ne wohín bóng dí.

75 Aur Pitras ko sá kí bát, jo us ne kahí thí, ki Peshtar is se, ki murgh báng de, tú tín martaba merá inkár karegá, yád áí. Tab wuh báhar jákar zárzár royá.

SATAISWAN BAB.

1 Jab subh húí, sáre sardár aur qaum ke mashaikh ne sá ke haqq men mashwarat kí, ki use qatl karen:

2 Aur use bandhke le gaye, aur Pontius Pilátus kí, jo hákim thá, hawála kiya.

3 Tab Yahúdá, jis ne use pakaṛwáyá thá, dekhkar ki us par qatl ká fatwá diyá gayá, pashemán húá, aur wuh tís dirham sardár káhinon aur mashaikh ke pás phir láyá,

4 Aur kahne lagá, ki Main ne khatá kí, jo begunáh ko qatl ke liye pakaṛwáyá. Tad we bole, Phir hamen kyá? tú ján.

5 Aur dirhamon ko haikal men

5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and depart-phenkkar rawána húá, aur us ne ed, and went and hanged himself.

jákar apne taín phánsí dí.

6 Aur sardár káhinon ne dirham lekar kahá, ki Unhen khazáne men rakhná rawá nahín, kyúnki yih khún kí qímat hai.
