37 And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

CHAPTER VIII.

1 In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them,

2 I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat :

3 And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way for divers of them came from far.

4 And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?

5 And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.

6 And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them and they did set them before the people.

7 And they had a few small fishes and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them.

37 Aur beniháyat hairán hoke kahá, ki Wuh sab kuchh achchhá karta hai: wuh bahron ko sunwátá, aur gúngon ko bulwátá hai.

ATHWAN BAB.

3 Aur agar main unhen bhúkhe ghar bhejún, to we ráh men kamzor ho jáenge: kyúnki kitne un men se dúr se áe hain.

4 Us ke shagirdon ne use jawab diyá, ki Ham in logon ko is jangal men roti kyúnkar pahunchá saken?

We bole, ki Sát.

6 Phir us ne jamáạt ko zamín par baith jane ká hukm kiya: tab us ne we sát roţán lín, aur shukr karke torín, aur apne shágirdon ko dín, ki un logon ko bánt dewen; aur unhon ne unhen bánt dín.

7 Aur un ke pás kaí chhotí machhhán thín : so us ne barakat ke pichhe hukm kiyá, ki unhen bhí un ke áge dhar do.

8 So they did eat, and were filled and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets.

9 And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away.

10 And straightway he entered into a ship with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.

11 And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.

12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? Verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

13 And he left them, and, entering into the ship again, departed to the other side.

14¶Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.

15 And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.

16 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.

17 And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye,

8 So unhon ne jí bharke kháyá: aur bachí húí chúr chár se sát tokríán utháín.

9 Aur khánewále atkal men chár hazár the tab us ne unhen rukhsat kiya.

10 Aur usi waqt wuh apne shágirdon ke sath náo par charhke Dalmanuthá ke mulk men áyá.

11 Tab Farísí nikle, aur use parakhne ke liye ek ásmání nishán us se cháhke, hujjat karne lage.

12 Us ne barí áh karke kahá, ki Is zamane ke log kis liye nishán chahte hain? main tum se sach kahta hún, ki is zamáne ke logon ko koí nishan dikháyá na jáegá.

14 ¶ Aur we roți lená bhúl gae the, aur náo par ek roțí ke siwá un ke pás aur kuchh na thá.

16 Tab we ápas men kahne lage, ki Yih is liye hai, ki hamáre pás roţí nahin hai.

because ye have no bread? per-ho, ki Yih is liye hai, ki hamáre

ceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet

hardened?

sáth rotí nahin hai? kyá tum ab tak bekhiyál aur besamajh ho? kya tumhárá dil ab tak saķht hai?

18 Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?

19 When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.

20 And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.

21 And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?

22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.

23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought?

24 And he looked up, and said, I see men, as trees, walking.

25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.

27 And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Cesarea Philippi : and by the way he asked his disciples, saying

18 Tum ánkh rakhte húe, nahín dekhte? aur kán rakhte húe, nahin sunte? aur kya tum yád nabín karte?

19 pánch hazár ke liye torín, tum ne chúr chár se kitní tokríán bharí utháín? We bole, Bárah.

19 Jab main ne pánch roțíán

20 Aur jab chár hazár ke liye sát torín, tum ne kitní tokríán chúr chár se bharí utháín? We bole, ki Sát.

21 Tab us ne unhen kahá, Phir tum kyún nahin samajhte?

22 ¶ Phir wuh Baitsaidá men áyá; aur we ek andhe ko us ke pás láe, aur us kí minnat kí, ki wuh use chhúe.

23 Aur wuh us andhe ká háth pakarke bastí se báhar legayá; aur us kí ánkh men thúká, aur apne háth us par rakhke, us se puchhá, ki Tú kuchh dekhtá hai?

24 Us ne úpar dekhá, aur kahá, ki Main ádmíon ko darakhton kí mánind chalte dekhtá hún.

25 Tab us ne us kí ánkhon par háth phir rakkhe, aur us ko úpar dikháyá: aur wuh aisá changá ho gayá, ki sárí chízon ko sáfáí se dekhne lagá.

26 Aur us ne use yih kahkar ghar bhejá, ki Bastí men na já, aur bastí men kisí se mat kah.

27 ¶ Tab sá aur us ke shágird Qaisariya Failbús kí bastion men gae aur ráh men us ne apne shágirdon se yih kahke púchhá,

unto them, Whom do men say that I am?

28 And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.

29 And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.

30 And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.

31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed; and after three days rise again.

32 And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.

33 But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

34 And when he had called the people unto him, with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

ki Mere haqq men log kya kahte hain, Main kaun hún?

29 Phir us ne unhen kahá, Par tum kya kahte ho, Main kaun hún?

32 Aur us ne yih kholke kahá. Tab Pítras use alag lejáke, us par jhunjhaláyá.

33 Par us ne phirkar apne shagirdon par nazar karke, Pitras ko malámat kí, aur kahá, ki Ai Shaitán, mere áge se dúr ho: kyúnki tú Ķhudá kí chízon ká nahín, balki ádmíon kí chízon ká ķhiyál karta hai.

34 Tab us ne us jamáąt ko apne shágirdon ke sáth pás buláyá, aur kahá, ki Jo koi mere píchhe áyá cháhe, use chahiye ki apní marzí ko chhorde, aur apne karás ko uthake, mere pichhe awe.

35 Is liye ki, jo koí apní ján bacháyá cháhe, use khoegá; aur jo koi mere, aur Injil ke liye ján khowegá, wuh use bachawegá.

36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father, with the holy angels.

CHAPTER IX.

1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

2¶ And after six days, Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

3 And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

4 And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

36 Is liye ki agar ádmí sárí dunyá ko kamáwe, aur apní ján ko khode, to use kyá fáida hogá? 37 Aur ádmi apní ján ke badle men kyá degá?

38 Is liye ki is zinákár aur gunahgár zamáne men, jo koí mujh se aur merí báton se sharmáwegá; ádam ká Farzand bhí, jab ki wuh apne Báp kí buzurgi men pák Firishton ke sath áwegá, tab wuh us se sharmawegá.

NAWAN BAB.

2 ¶ Aur chhah din ke bad Isá ne Pitras aur Yaqub aur Yohná ko sáth liyá, aur unhen ek únche pahár par alag legayá: aur un ke áge us kí súrat badal gaí.

3 Aur us ke kapre chamakne lage, aur bahut sufed, baraf kí mánind, ho gaye: aisá ki koí dhobí zamín par itná sufed nahin kar saktá.

4 Tab Iliyás Músá ke sáth unhen dikhaí diyá: aur we Įsá se báten karte the.

5 Tab Pitras ne sá se kahá, ki Ai ustád, hamáre liye yaháu rahná achchhá hai: aur tín jhompre banáwen; ek áp ke, aur ek Músá ke, aur ek Iliyás ke liye.
