The apoples infpired. Peter's fermont And they were all filled with fhall prophefy, and your young the Holy Ghoft, and began to fpeak men fhall fee vifions, and your old with other tongues, as the Spirit men fhall dream dreams: gave them utterance.
5 And there were dwelling at Jerufalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
18 And on my servants, and on my handmaidens, I will pour out in thofe days of my Spirit; and they fhall prorhefy:
19 And I will fhew wonders in heaven above, and figns in the earth beneath; blood, and fire,
6 Now when this was noifed abroad, the multitude came together,and wereconfounded, becaufe that every man heard them fpeak and vapour of smoke:
in his own language.
7 And they were all amazed, and marvelled, faying one to another, behold, are not all these which fpeak Galileans?
8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue wherein we were born?
9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mefopotamia, and in Judea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Afia,
10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and ftrangers of Rome, Jews and profelytes,
11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, faying one to another, What meaneth this?
13 Others mocking, faid, Thefe men are full of new wine.
Peter endeth bis fermon. CHA P. II, III. Three thousand converted. arch David, that he is both dead the fame day there were added unts and buried, and his fepulchre is them about three thoufand fouls. with us unto this day. 42 And they continued ftedfaftly in the apoftles' doctrine and fellowthip, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had fworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flefh, he would raise up Chrift to fit on his throne;
31 He, feeing this before, fpake of the refurrection of Chrift, that his foul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did fee corruption.
32 This Jefus hath God railed up, whereof we are all witneffes.
33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise ofthe Holy Ghoft, he hath fhed forth
37 Now, when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and faid unto Peter, and to the reft of the apoftles, Men and brethren, what fhall we do?
43 And fear came upon every foul: and many wonders and figns were done by the apostles.
44 And all that believed weretogether, and had all things common;
38 Then Peter faid unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jefus Chrift for the remiffion of fins, and ye fhall receive the gift of the Holy Ghoft.
39 For the promife is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God fhall call.

Peter cureth a lame man, &c.
NOW Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
2 And a certain man, lame from his mother's womb, was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to afk alms of them that entered into the temple;
3 Who, feeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, afked an alms.
4 And Peter, faftening his eyes upon him with John, faid, Look on us.
And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive fomething of
6 Then Peter faid, Silverandgold have I none; but fuch as I have give thee: In the name of Jefus Chrift f Nazareth rife up and walk.
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, faying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

10 And they knew that it was he which fat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.
II And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.
Is And when Peter faw it, he anfwered unto the people, Ye men of Ifrael, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holinefs we had made this man to walk?
13 The God of Abraham, and of Haac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jefus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the prefence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go
14 But ye denied the holy One and the Juft, and defired a murderer to be granted unto you;

2. And he fhall fend Jefus Chrift, which before was preached unto you:
21 Whom the heaven muft receive until the times of reftitution, of all things, which God hath fpoken by the mouth of all bis holy prophets fince the world be gan.
22 For Mofes truly faid unto the fathers, A Prophet hall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him fhall ye hear in all things whatfoever he fhall fay unto you.
23 And it fhall come to pals, that every foul which will not hear that Prophet, fhall be deftroyed from among the people.
24 Yea, andallthe prophets, from Samuel, and thofe that follow after, as many as have spoken, have like wife foretold of thefe days.
25 Ye are the children of the prophets,and ofthecovenant which God made with our fathers, faying unto Abraham, And in thy feed fhall all the kindreds of the earth be bleffed.
26 Unto you firft, God, having raifed up his fon Jefus, fent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. CHAP. IV.
16 And his name, through faith in his name, hath made this man ftrong, whom ye fee and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given nim this the prefence of you all.
Peter and Jobn imprisoned, &c. AND as they spake unto the people, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,

4 Howbeit, many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thoufand.
16 Saying, What fhall we de to thefe men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifeft to all them that dwell in Jerufalem; and we cannot deny it.
17 But that it fpread no farther among the people, let us ftraitly threaten them, that they fpeak henceforth to no man in this name.
5 And it came to pafs on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,
6 And Annas the high prieft, a Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high prieft, were gathered together at Jerufalem.
7 And when they had fet them in the midft, they afked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?
To Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Ifrael, that by the name of Jefus Chrift of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man ftand here before you whole.
II This is the ftone which was fet at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghoft, faid unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Ifrael,
9 If we this day be examined of 21 So, when they had further the good deed done to the impo- threatened them, they let them go, tent man, by what means he is finding nothing how they might made whole; punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.
22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was fhewed.
23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priefts and elders had faid unto them.
24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and faid, Lord, thou art God, which haft made heaven and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
12 Neither is there falvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be faved.
18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all, nor teach, in the name of Jefus.
13 Now, when they faw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jefus.
14 And beholding the man which was healed ftanding with them, they could fay nothing against it.
19 But Peter and John answered, and faid unto them, Whether it be right in the fight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have feen and heard.
15 Who by the mouth of thy fervant David haft faid, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
26 The kings of the earth ftood up, and the rulers were gathered together againft the Lord, and against his Chrift.

35 And laid them down at the apoftles' feet; and diftribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

2 And kept back part ofthe price, his wife alfo being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apoftles' feet.
3 But Peter faid, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lye to the Holy Ghoft, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was fold, was it not in thine own power? Why haft thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou haft not lyed unto men, but unto God.
32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and or one foul: neither faid any of them that ought of the things which he poffeffea was his own; but they had all things common.
33 And with great power gave the apoftles witnefs of the refurrection of the Lord Jefus: and great grace was upon them all.
34 Neither was there any among Then Peter faid unto her, How them that lacked: for as many as is it that ye have agreed together were poffeffors of lands or houfes to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? fold them, and brought the prices Behold, the feet of them which of the things that were fold have buried thy husband are at the door, and fhall carry thee out.

And Ananias, hearing these words, fell down, and gave up the ghoft: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
6 And the young men arofe, wound him up, and carried bim out, and buried him.
7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife,not knowing what was done, came in.
8 And Peter anfwered unto her, Tell me whether ye fold the land for fo much And the faid, Yea, for fo much."
11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard thefe things.
