In the way of thy judgments, O Lord; we have waited for thee. Isa. 26-8-For many seek the ruler's favour; but to every man judgment cometh from thee. Ps. 29-26-For there is a reward for the righteous; and there is a God that judgeth in the earth. Ps. 58-11-The meek will he guide in judgment; and the meek will he teach his way, Ps. 25-9-Do good, O Lord, un to those that be good, and to them that are upright in hearts. Ps. 125-4.-For unto thee, O Lord; belongeth merecy; and thou renderest to every man. according to his work. Ps. 62-12.-Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. Fs. 128-1.

God alone can bind up a bleeding heart.

O Lord, unto thee will I cry; be not silent unto me, lest I become like them that go down into the pit. Ps. 28-1-Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands towards thy holy oracle. Ps. 23-2-In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee; for thou wilt answer me. Ps. 86-7.—I am poor and needy; O God. thou art mine help and my Deliverer. 70-5-For sake me not, O Lord, O my God, be not far from me Ps. 38-2 1.-0 spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more Ps 39-13-Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name's sake; For thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble. Ps 143-11.--Mine eyes are unto thee, O God; in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute. Ps. 141-8.-Consider mine application, and deliver me; for I do not forget thy law. Ps. 119. 153Hide not thy face far from me, put not thy servant away in anger, Ps. 27-9-Remove far from me vanity and les give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me. Pro. 30-8Lest I be full, and deny thee; or lest I be poor, and steal, and take thy Name in vain. Pro. 30-9.-Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not. Ps. 17-5.-0 Lord, if thou shouldest mark iniquities, O God, who shall stand? Ps. 130-3-But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. Ps. 130-4-0 God, let my words and meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. Ps. 19-14.

Nothing Emboldens sins so much as mercy from the Almighty.

Have mercy upon me, O God! according to thy loving kindness; and blot out my transgressions. Ps. 51-1-Wash me, O Lord, from mine iniquity. and cleanse me from my sins. Ps. 51-2-Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts; and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Ps. 51-6.-Turn thou unto me,

and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted. Ps. 25-16.— Look upon my affliction, and my pain; and forgive all my sins, Ps. 25-18--And now, Lord, what wait I for! my hope is in thee. Ps. 39-7--Deliver me from all my transgressions; make me not the reproach of the foolish. Ps. 39-8--Withhold not thou, thy tender mercies from me, O Lord, let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. Ps. 40-11.--For evils have compassed me about, mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up. Ps. 40-12--I will declare my iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin. Ps. 38-18.-Keep back thy servant from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me. Ps. 19-13.--Search me, O God. and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts; Ps. 132-23.--And see if there be any wicked way in me; lead me in the way everlasting. Ps. 139-24-Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Ps, 32-1.-Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. Ps. 32-2

CHAPTER X-PART II

Love not pleasures, love God, this is the everlasting.

Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Ps., 103-1.-Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. Ps. 103-2-.Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases. Ps. 103-3.-I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Ps. 34-1.--I will extol thee, my God, O King; and I will bless thy name for ever. Ps. 145-1,Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever. Po. 145-2.

Bless the Lord, all ye saints of the Lord. Ps. 134-1.--Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord. Ps. 134-2.-O bless the Lord, ye people and make the voice of his praise to be heard. Ps. 66.8.-Who holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved. Ps. 66-9.-Bless ye the Lord in the congregations, even the Lord of the fountain of life. Ps. 68-26.-Bless ye the Lord, all ye his saints, ye ministers of his that do his pleasure. Ps. 103-21.

Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Ps. 113-2. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord's name is to be praised. Ps. 113-3,—Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever, for wisdom and might are his. Dan. 2-20.-Blessed be the Lord God from everlasting to everlasting and let all the people say, Amen. Ps, 106-48-Thus will I bless thee while I live; and will I left up my hands in thy name. Ps. 63-4,

CHAPTER XI.-PART II.

All promise outruns performance.

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. Ps. 61-1---I will Behave myself wisely in a perfect way; I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. Ps. 101-2-I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes; I hate the work of them that turn aside, it shall not cleave to me, Ps. 101-3.--A forward heart shall depart from me, I will not know a wicked person. Ps. 101-4.-I will offer to thee the prayer of thanksging, and will call upon the name of the Lord .Ps. 116-17-I said, I will take heed to my ways; that I sin not with my tongue. Ps. 39-1.--I have chosen the way of truth; thy judgments have I laid before me. Ps. 119-30.--I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge mine heart. Ps. 119-32.--My hands will I lift up unto thy commandments, and I will meditate in thine stautes. Ps. 119-48.-I will never forget thy precepts, for with them thou hast quickened my soul -Ps. 119-93-I have not departed from thy judgements; for thou hast taught me to do them. Ps 119-102.-- I have

sworn, and I will perfrom it, that I will keep thy righteons judgments.

Ps. 119-106.--Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever; for they are the rejoicing of mine heart. Ps. 119-111.--I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end. Ps. 119-112 --I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. Ps. 104-33.-My meditation of him shall be sweet; I will be glad in the Lord. Ps. 104-34.-I will behold thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when

I awake, with thy likeness. Ps. 17-15-So will I sing praise unto thy ... name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows, Pg. 61-8.

CHAPTER XII.-PART II

Change yourself and your fortune will change tɔo,

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him; and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. Ezek. 18-20.-Have I any pleasure that the wicked should die? and that he should not return from his ways and live? Ezek. 18.23.-If thou wilt put away thine abominations, out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove. Jer. 4- 1.--Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous his thoughts; let him return unto the Lord and he will have mercy upon him. Is. 55-7.--Repent, and turn yourself from all your transgressions, so iniquity shall not be your ruin Ezek 18-30.

Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace; thereby good shall come unto thee, Job 22-21. If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up. thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles, Job. 22-23.--Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, yea the Almighty shall be thy defence. Job. 22-24,25.—And thou shalt make thy prayer unto him and he shall hear thee. Job.22-27-- Prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him; Job. 11-13.--If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. Job. 11-14-Then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot, yea, thou shalt be steadfast, and shalt not fear Job. 11-15.

Teach me, and I will hold my tongue; and cause me to understand wherein I have erred. Job 6-24.-I said, Lord, be merciful unto me; heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee. Ps. 41-4.--I said, I confess my transgressions unto the Lord; for thou forgivest the iniquity of my sin. Ps. 32-5.-And this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found. Ps. 32-6.--Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the Lord. Lam. 3-40.-Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens. CHAPTER XIII-PART II.

The poorest service must be retuned with thanks,

So shall be mine before you touch the meal. sh.

Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High. Ps. 50-14-And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me, Ps. 50-15,-Yea, it is a good thing to give thanks unto God, and sing praise unto thy name, O most High! Ps, 92-1.-To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulnes every night. Ps. 92-2.

Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare. Ps. 75-1-Rejoice in the Lord ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. Ps. 97-12.-Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with Psalms. Ps. 95-2.-Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise; Be thankful unto him, and bless his name; Ps. 100-4.-For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Ps. 100-5.

* Man doest thou not know that God gave thee fire for thy life? that thou shouldest spit on it, and crush it to spoil thy soul?-Answer that.
