The test of love to God.

8 He that loveth not knoweth i ver. 16. not God; for God is love.i 2Co. 13.11.

9 In this k was manifested the lovek Juo.3.16. of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son in- 1Jno.6.51. to the world, that we might live through him.

m ch.2.2. 10 Herein is love, not that wen Mat. 18.3.3. loved God, but that he loved us, Jno. 15. 12, 13. and sent his Son to be the propitiao 1Ti.6.16. tion m for our sins.

q ch.3.24.

11 Beloved, ifn God so loved us, p 1Co. 13.13. we ought also to love one another. 12 Noo man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected p in us.

13 Herebyg know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

15 Whosoever r shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. Gods is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

17 Herein is 1 our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Jesus is the Son of God.

God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that b we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not c griev

ous.

4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh d the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

6 This is he that came e by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit f that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, h and the Holy Ghost: i and these three are one.

8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit,k and the water, and the blood: m and Ithese three agree in one.

9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness n in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life o is in his Son.

12 Hep that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that yeg may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how u can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth m He. 13.12.heareth us: God love his brother also.

For many c deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
