Amen.. A Prayer to be faid before receiving the Sacrament.. Lift my Soul unto thee, my God, humbly imploring thee graciously to affift me in the Duty I am going to perform. Let the remembrance of my Sins, and of my Saviour's bitter fufferings for them create in me a hearty Repentance of them, and engage me for ever to love and ferve him who laid down bis life for me. Drink this in remembrance that Chrifts Blood was fhed for thee, and be thankful. A Prayer after receiving the Sacrament. Praife and magnify thy glorious Name, O God, for the opportu nity thou hast afforded me this Day, of commemorating thy unSpeakable Love, in the Redemption of the World by thy Son Jefus Chrift; and of making this publick profession of my Faith in him. Let it be an eternal obligation upon me of Love and Obedience to thee. And O grant me fuch a measure of thy Grace and affiftance, as may enable me to be more careful and diligent in the discharge of my Duty; and to walk as the redeemed of the Lord, in all holiness and godlinefs of Life, through the fame Jefus Christ our Saviour. Our Father, &c. O Lord and heavenly Father, we thy humble fervants, entirely defire thy Fatherly goodness, mercifully to accept this our facrifice of praise and thanksgiving; most humbly beseeching thee to grant, that by the merits and death of thy Son Jefus Chrift, and through faith in his Blood, we and all thy whole Church may obtain remiffion of our fins, and all other benefits of his paffiɔn. And here we offer and prefent unto thee, O Lord, ourselves, our fouls, and bodies, to be a reasonable, holy, and lively facrifice unto thee; humbly befeeching thee, that all we who are partakers of this holy Communion, may be fulfilled with thy grace and heavenly benediction. And although we be unworthy through our manifold fins to offer unto thee any facrifice; yet we beseech thee to accept this our bounden duty and fervice; not weighing our merits, but pardoning our offences, through Jefus Chrift our Lord; by whom, and with whom, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, all honour and glory be unto thee, O Father Almghty, world with. out end. Almighty and everliving God, we moft heartily thank thee, for that thou doft vouchfafe to feed us, who have duly received these holy myfteries, with the fpiritual food of the most precious Body and Blood of thy Son our Saviour Jefus Christ; and doft affure us thereby of thy favour and goodnefs toward us; and that we are very members incorporate in the mystical Body of thy Son, which is the blessed company of all faithful people; and are also heirs through hope of thy everlafting kingdom, by the merits of the moft precious death and paffion of thy dear Son. And we most humbly befeech thee, O heavenly Father, so to affift us with thy grace, that we may continue in that holy fellowship, and do all fuch good works as thou haft prepared for us to walk in, through Jefus Chrift our Lord, to whom with thee, and the Holy Ghoft, be all honour and glory world without end. Sfift us mercifully, O Lord, in these our fupplications and prayers, and dispose the way of thy fervants towards the attainment of everlafting falvation; that among all the changes and chances of this mortal life, they may ever be defended by thy most gracious and ready help, through Jefus Chrift our Lord. Amen Almighty Lord, and everlasting God, vouchfafe, we beseech thee, to direct, fanctify, and govern both our hearts and bodies in the ways of thy laws, and in the works of thy commandments, that through thy moft mighty protection, both here and ever, we may be preferved in body and foul, through our Lord and Saviour Jefus Chrift.
