Society of S.S.C. THE ADVANTAGES offered, as compared with other Offices, are
A greatly Larger Original Assurance for the same Premium, with the prospect to good lives (for whom exclusively the whole Profits are reserved)
of eventually receiving very considerable additions. Thus, a Policy for £ 1200 or £ 1250 can at most ages be had, from the first, for the premium charged elsewhere for £ 1000 only. Policies for £ 1000 which have shared at three Septennial Investigations have already been increased to £1400, £1600, and even to £1800.
THIS SOCIETY has taken a leading part in removing all restrictions in Policies, and all GROUNDS OF CHALLENGE. Nearly 20 years ago it was declared that error in the original statements should not involve forfeiture, unless proved to have been fraudulent as well as untrue : and the forfeiture attached to suicide (unless occurring within six months) was removed.
FOREIGN RESIDENCE AND TRAVEL.—Members (not seafaring men) are now at liberty, free of charge, to travel or reside in any part of the world (Asia excepted) north of 35° N. and south of 30° S. The Directors are also empowered, under certain conditions, to grant Certificates of Exemption from all restrictions.
The New Business of 1867 was £621,574 in 1373 Policies. Subsisting Assurances above £6,000,000. Annual Revenues, £ 234,000. Accumulated Fund on 31st December, £1,365,365—the increase in the year having been £125,000.
REPORTS of every information may be had on application. May 1868.
