We bless thee, that when the fulness of time was come, thou didst send forth thy Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.o We bless thee, that the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost; and that for this purpose the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil.q Lord, we receive it as a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Je sus came into the world to save sinners, even the chief.r We bless thee, that as forasmuch as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself took part of the same: that he took not on him the nature of angels, but our nature, and was in all things made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful High Priest, in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people, and that he is not ashamed to call them brethren.s m Heb. i. 1. p Luke xix. 10.
