IT has been seen by the date of the preceding

letters, that Mr. Winter's account of himself, leaves near nine years of his life unnoticed. He was often urged to carry on the relation; he intended it but it was delayed till the purposes of his heart were broken off. It remains therefore for the Editor to take up the narrative, and bring it down to the closing scene; and this can be done much more easily than the recovery of any earlier periods of his his
