Wake, and lift up thyself, my heart,
And with the Angels bear thy part;
Who, all night long, unwearied sing,
"High glory to th' Eternal King!"

FOR THE EVENING.

GLORY to Thee, my God, this night,
For all the blessings of the light;

Keep me,

keep me, King of kings, Beneath thy own almighty wings!

Forgive me, Lord, for Thy dear Son,"
The ill that I this day have done;
That, with the world, myself, and Thee,
I, ere I sleep, at peace may be.

Teach me to live, that I may dread
The grave as little as my bed;
Teach me to die, that so I may
Rise glorious at the awful day.

O let my soul on Thee repose!

And may sweet sleep mine eyelids close; Sleep, that shall me more vig'rous make, To serve my God, when I awake.

If in the night I sleepless lie,

My soul with Heavenly thoughts supply; Let no ill dreams disturb my rest,

No

powers of darkness me molest !

A

All people that on earth do dwell
As pants the hart for cooling streams
Awake, my Soul, and, with the Sun

B

Because Thy mercy's boundless height
Before Affliction stopp'd my course
Behold the wicked! these are they
Bless God, my Soul! Thou, Lord alone

C

Can He be deaf, who form'd the ear
Christ from the dead is rais'd and made
Come, Holy Ghost, our souls inspire
Come, Holy Ghost, Eternal God

E

Erect your heads, eternal Gates

F

Far, far from me be all false ways

G

Give ear, Thou Judge of all the earth
Glory to Thee, my God, this night
God's perfect Law converts the Soul
God in the great assembly stands

Happy the man, whose tender care
Hark! the herald Angels sing

Has God for ever cast us off

Have mercy, Lord, on me

He that has God his Guardian made

He left the beauteous Realms of Light

He's blest, whose sins have pardon gain'd
High let us swell our tuneful notes
How blest is he, who ne'er consents
How good and pleasant must it be
How long wilt Thou forget me, Lord,
How long wilt Thou be angry, Lord
How numerous, Lord, of late are grown
How shall the young preserve their ways
How vast must their advantage be

Let all the just to God with joy
Let all the lands with shouts of joy
Lord! hear my pray'r and to my cry
Lord! hear the voice of my complaint
Lord! let me know my term of days
Lord! what's in man that Thou should'st love
Lord! who's the happy man, that may

My God! and is Thy Table spread

My lot is fall'n in that blest land
My soul for help on God relies

My soul, inspir'd with sacred love ..
My soul with grateful thoughts of love
My soul has waited long to see
N

No change of times shall ever shock
No longer let the wicked vaunt

O, all ye people, clap your hands
come,
all ye that fear the Lord
O come, loud anthems let us sing
O God, my heart is fix'd, 'tis bent

God, my gracious God, to Thee
O God of Hests, the mighty Lord..
O Israel's Shepherd-Joseph's guide
On Kings, the greatest sons of men
O Lord, that art my righteous Judge
O Lord, I am not proud of heart
O praise the Lord with one consent
O praise the Lord in that blest place
O render thanks to God above
O Thou, to whom all creatures bow
O'twas a joyful sound to hear

P

Praise ye the Lord, for He is good
Praise ye the Lord; our God to praise

S

Should'st Thou severely judge
Since Christ, our Passover, is slain
Since great Thy tender mercies are

Since mercy is the grace
Since of Thy goodness all partake
Sing to the Lord a new-made song
Sing to the Lord a new-made song

T

Teach me Thy way, O Lord, and I
That I may still in spite of wrongs
That man is blest who stands in awe
The good man's way is God's delight
The Heav'ns declare Thy glory, Lord!
Thee in Thy Power's triumphant day
The Lord hath both a temple here
The Lord Himself, the mighty Lord
The Lord hath spoke, the mighty God
The Lord is good; fresh acts of Grace
The wonders which Thy laws contain
Those men, that all their hope and trust
Thou suit'st, O Lord, Thy righteous ways
Thou turnest man, O Lord, to dust
Thou for a moment hid'st Thy face

Thou strictly hast enjoin'd us, Lord
Thou, Lord, by strictest search hast known
Through all the changing scenes of life
Through circling ages, Lord, Thy truth
Thy dreadful anger, Lord, restrain
Thy mercies, Lord, shall be my song
Thy word is to my feet a lamp
To celebrate Thy praise, O Lord
To Thy salvation, Lord, for aid
To Thee, the God of truth

To bless Thy chosen race

To Him your voice in anthems raise

To Sion's hill I lift my eyes

To God, the mighty Lord
