BE IT REMEMBERFID, That on the elevents, day of December, in the thirty-eighth year of the independence of the United States of America, Peter Wilson, on behalf of the Minister, Elders, and Deacons of the Reformed Protestant Dutch Church in the § of New York, of the said district, hath deposited in this office the go of a book, the right whereof they claim as proprietors, in the words and figures following, to wit:
“The Psalms and Hymns, with the Catechism, Confession of Faiths and Liturgy of the Reformed Dutch Church in North America. Selected at the request of the General Synod. By John H. Livingston, D. D. S. t. P.
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teachin and admonishing one another in Psalms and Hymns, and Spiritua Songs, singing with grace in your hearts unto the Lord.”-Col. iii. 16.
In conformity to the act of the Congress of the United States, intituled, “An act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps, charts, and books, to the authors and proprietors of such co• *s, during the times therein mentioned” and also to an act, enti“An act supplementary to an act, entitled, “An act for the en: rement of searning, by securing i. copies of maps, charts, and to the authors and proprietors of such copies during the times. o mentioned, and extending the benefits thereof to the arts of sing, engraving, and etching historical and other prints.” THERON RUDD, Clerk of the New York District.
