For in the time of trou. ble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me, he shall set me up upon a rock. 6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy, I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. 7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice : have mercy also upon me, and answer me. 8 dWhen thou saiast, Seek ye my face, my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I | seek. 9 Hide not thy face far from me, put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help, leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. 10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD 10 XXVIII. I WILL extol thee, O LORD, for thou hast lifted me up; and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me. 20 LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. 3 O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should 4 not go down to the pit. 7 4 Sing unto the LORD, (O ye saints of his,) and give thanks a at the remembrance of his holiness. 5 For bhis anger endureth but a moment; in his favouris life : weeping may endure for a night, but djoy cometh in the morning. 6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved. LORD, by thy favour thou hast e made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled. 8 I cried to thee, O LORD: and unto the LORD I made supplication. 9 What profit is there in to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth? 10 Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD be thou my helper. 11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness: 12 To the end that to thee, and not be silent: O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever. e Heb. in the evening. f That is, my tongue, or, my soul. d Heb. |
