PSALM 146. 1 The Psalmist roweth perpetual praises to God. 3 He exhorteth not to trust in man. 5 God, for his pow er, justice, mercy, and kingdom, is only worthy to be trusted. PRAIS soul. PSALM 147. 1 The prophet exhorteth to praise God for his care of the church, 4 his pow er, 6 and his mercy: 7 to praise him for his providence: 12 to praise him for his blessings upon the kingdom, 15 for his power over the meteors, 19 and for his ordinances in the church. Praise ye the LORD from 9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars: 10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl: 11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth: 12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: 13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven. 14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him.
