17 ¶ But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

18 Therefore the Jews 'sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, 'making himself equal with God.

19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, "The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

20 For the Father loveth the Son, and showeth him all things that himself doeth: and he will show him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

¶ Ver. 27, Acтs, xvii. 31: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. 2 COR. v. 10: For we must all appear before the judgment-seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 1 PET. iv. 5: Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. JOHN, iii. 16, 18: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. do. vi. 40, 47: This is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life. ROM. viii. 24: We are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope; for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? EPH. ii. 6: Hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. 1 JOHN, iii. 2, 14: Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. do. v. 11: This is the record that God hath given to us eternal life: and this life is in his Son.

LUKE, ix. 60: Let the dead bury their dead, but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. do. xv. 32: This thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found. Rom. vi. 4,5: We are buried with him by baptism into death, that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection. GAL. ii. 20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. EPH. ii. 1, 5, 6: You hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins. Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ. And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. do. v. 14: Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. Col. ii. 13: And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses. do. iii. 1,3: If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 1 TIM. v. 6: She that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth. REV. iii. 1: I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

* JOHN, viii. 18: I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. Acтs, x. 43: To him give all the prophets witness; that through his name whosoever believeth in him, shall receive remission of sins. 1 JOHN, v. 6, 7, 9: This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
