χαρίζομαι νυν τήνδε δωρέαν εκών.

κάν τούδε τανδρος ιστορών λέγη πέρι,
είφ' ώς νιν ευρες ουρανού πύλαις έπι.
μνείαν έτ' έν λίταισι κάν εύχαις έχω
τάνακτος: έστ' άν σωμ' εμόν λίπη βίος,
ευδαιμονήσειν εύξομαι νιν εκ θεού
είη μακραίων πλείον ή λέγειν έτη:
ταύτης αει φιλών τε και φιλούμενος
χώρας επάρχοι χώθ' ο γηράσκων χρόνος
ές τέρμάγη νιν έσχατον του ζην, τότε
