REAT GOD, Thou feeft us this Morning cafting our felves down before the Foot of thy Throne, to adore Thee and to blefs Thee: Receive favourably our Homages, and hear the Prayers that we are now about to offer Thee.

IT is true, O Lord, that if Thou fhouldest deal with us accord- The Confef ing to the Severity of thy Juftice, we could not fubfift in thy Pre-fion of fence For we have finned against Thee, and are not worthy to be Sins. called thy Children: We have left undone that which Thou commandeft us, and we have often done that which Thou haft forbidden us: We have offended Thee by our Thoughts, Words, and Actions: We have abused thy Favours, and we have nor followed as we ought, thy Exhortations: So that far from deferving the leaft of thy Mercies, we deserve nothing but Death and eternal Damnation. But, O our God, we return to Thee with a lively Sorrow for our Sins, and with a firm and fincere Refolution of forfaking them. Vouchfafe then to have Pity on us, moft gracious God, Father of Mercy; and according to the Greatness of thy Compaffion, blot out our Sins. Remember the Covenant that Thou haft made with us by Jefus Chrift; and for the fake of this thy beloved Son, be pacified towards us, and make us to partake of all thy Favours.

Thou art the abfo- ration. lute Master of the World: Thou haft made it by thy Word, and doft govern it by thy Providence. The Heavens are thy Throne, and the Earth is thy Footftool. All the Nations before Thee are but as the Drop of the Bucket, or as the finall Duft of the Ballance; and in the Light where Thou dwelleft, Thousands of Angels are about thy Throne, crying continually, Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of Hofts, all that is in the Heavens and upon the Earth, is his Glory. Who is like unto Thee, O our Great God, and where is the Spirit that can comprehend thy adorable Perfections? Thy Duration is Everlafting Before the Mountains were brought forth, before thou hadst Jaid the Foundations of the Earth, even from Everlafting to Everlafting, Thou art the mighty God. Thy Power is Infinite: Thou haft fpoke, and all Things have had their Being: Thou haft commanded, and they have appeared. Thy Knowledge has no Bounds: All Things are naked before Thee, even the remoteft Things to come, and

and the most fecret Thoughts. Thy Wisdom infinitely furpaffes the Comprehenfion of our Minds. As high as the Heavens are above the Earth, fo high are thy Thoughts above ours, and thy Ways above our Ways. Thou art perfectly Holy, and perfectly Juft: Thy Eyes are too pure to behold Iniquity, and Thou wiltft one Day reward every Man according to his Works. But above all, thy Goodness is without Pounds, thy Mercies are Infinite, and Thou art never weary of well-doing.

HEAVENLY Father, we praife Thee, we blefs Thee from the Bottom of our Hearts, for all the Mercies, both Temporal and Spiritual, which Thou haft bestowed upon us. Thou art our Creator, our Preferver, the Author and Spring of all our Happiness. But we blefs Thee, above all, for having honour'd us with the Knowledge. of thy Gofpel; for having fent thy Son to perform the Work of our Redemption; for the Pardon of our Sins; for thy preventing, Graces, and for railing us to the Hope of thy Glory. Lord, what is. Man, that Thou remembreft Him, and the Son of Man that Thou vifiteft Him? What shall we return unto Thee, O our God? All thy Benefits are upon us. We will take the Cup of Salvation, and blefs. thy Holy Name.

LORD, we devote our felves to Thee: We prefent to Thee our Bodies and our Souls, as a Living and Holy Sacrifice: And as we only live by thy Bounty, we defire alfo that we may only live to please. Thee: Thy Will fhall be the Rule of our Behaviou, and thy Glory the End of it. And if we have been fo unfortunate till now, as, to offend Thee, we will labour with all our Might, to amend our.. Faults, to follow thy Commandments.

GIVE us, O God, thy Holy Spirit, which may ftrengthen us inthis good Défign, and enable us to execute it. Create in us a cleanHeart, and teach us to do thy Will; for Thou art our God. Let not thy Word which is going to be. read, fall upon our Hearts as upon an unfruitful and barren Soil; but let us hear it with Attention,, receive it with Faith, and conform our felves to it during the whole Courfe of our Lives. Hear us, O Father of Mercy; we call upon Thee in the Name of thy beloved Son Jefus Chrift our. Lord; to whom with Thee, Heavenly Father, and the Holy Ghoft, be Honour and Glory, both now and for ever. Amen.

O how good a Thing it is, how juft and how comely to celebrate Thee, O Lord, and to fing to thy Name, O our Sovereign! To fhew forth thy Goodnefs every Morning, and thy Faithfulness every Night! O Lord our God, Thou art wonderfully Great, Thou art cloathed with Majefty and Power: Thou dwelleft in inacceffible Light Thou art the Powerful God, Strong, Great, and Terrible.
