PSALM 44.

WE have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what thou hast done in their time of old;

How thou hast driven out the heathen with thy hand, and planted them in ; how thou hast destroyed the nations, and cast them. out.

For they gat not the land in possession through

their own sword, neither was it their own arm that helped them;

lous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgment of his mouth;

But thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.

A SERVICE

FOR DAYS OF THANKSGIVING.

The Minister may use the common Service for Morning or Evening Prayer, till he comes to the Psalms for the Day of the Month; instead of which, the following Psalms are to be said.

God is gone up with a shout, and the Lord with the sound of the trumpet.

PSALM 147.

PRAISE ye the Lord; O sing praises, sing for it is a good thing to praises unto our God; O sing praises unto our God;

yea, a joyful and pleasant thing it is to be thankful.
