OF THE

ENTION, 1829.

Hartford, Wednesday June 3d, 1829.

This being the day appointed by the Constitution of the Protestant Episcopal Church, in the State of Connecticut, for the meeting of the Annual Convention of said Church, the Rt. Rev. T. C. Brownell, D. D. L. L. D., the Bishop of the Diocese, and several Clergymen and Lay-Delegates, attended at 10 o'clock, A. M. in Christ Church in this city, which had been appointed by the Bishop as the place of meeting.

Morning prayer was read by the Rev. Smith Pyne, Rector of Christ Church, Middletown, and the sermon delivered by the Rev. Hector Humphreys, Professor of Languages in Washington College, and Rector of St. Luke's Church, Glastenbury.

The Chair was taken by the Bishop; and the list of Clergy entitled to seats in the Convention, being called over, the following answered to their names, and took their seats :
