CHATHAM, Oct. 9th, 1832.

This being the day appointed by the Constitution of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Connecticut for the meeting of the Convention of said Church, the Rt. Rev. T. C. Brownell, D.D., LL.D, the Bishop of the Diocese, and several Clergymen and Lay Delegates attended in Trinity Church, Chatham, at past 10 o'clock A. M.

Morning Prayers were read by the Rev. Frederick Holcomb, Rector of Christ Church, Watertown, and the sermon delivered by the Rev. Charles Smith, Rector of St. John's Church, Fairfield.

After Divine Service, the Bishop took the chair, and the Convention was called to order.

A list of the Clergy entitled to seats was called over by the Secretary, and the following answered to their names:

The Rev. Messrs. Pyne and Jarvis were appointed a Committee to receive and examine the testimonials of the Lay Delegates.

On motion, the meeting adjourned to past 2 o'clock this afternoon.

CHATHAM, Trinity Church,

Tuesday, Oct. 9th, 2 o'clock P. M.

The meeting convened pursuant to adjournment.

The roll of the Clergy was called.

The Committee to whom were referred the certificates of the Lay Delegates reported that the following persons had been duly elected to represent their respective parishes in the Convention of this date:

The roll of the Lay Delegates being called, they answered to their names and took their seats.

It appearing that there was not a quorum of either order present, the meeting adjourned to attend Divine Service.

The Evening Service was read by the Rev. David G. Tomlinson, Rector of the Churches of Milton and Bradleyville, and the sermon delivered by the Rev. Robert A. Hallam, Rector of St. Andrew's Church, Meriden.

The services being concluded, the meeting again assembled; but as there was still no quorum, it was, on motion, adjourned sine die, after the customary devotions by the Bishop.

Oct. 8th, half past 10 o'clock a. M.

This being the day appointed for the meeting of the Annual Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Connecticut, the Rt. Rev. Thomas C. Brownell, D.D., LL.D., Bishop of the Diocese, and several Clergymen and Lay Delegates attended in Christ Church, Norwich, at half past 10 o'clock A. M.

Morning Prayers were read by the Rev. Frederick Hol comb, Rector of Christ Church, Watertown, and the sermon delivered by the Rev. Nathaniel S. Wheaton, D.D., President of Washington College, Hartford.

The Holy Communion was then administered by the Bishop, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Holcomb. The services being concluded, the chair was taken by the Bishop, and the meeting proceeded to organize.

A list of the Clergy entitled to seats was called over by the Secretary, and the following answered to their names and took their seats:
