he lost sight of every consideration but the welfare of immortal souls and the glory of his God.For these he lived, and in the pursuit of these he died, and now he has entered into the rich recompense of the reward. He had, to ase his dying words, "been an out-door servant long enough," and his Lord has now made him an "in-door servant," and taken him in "out of the wind and rain," and given to him "a glorified body, and better wages, and a better mansion." May it be our part steadily to follow him, as he followed Christ. May we prove the efficacy of the instructions he dispensed to us, by our fidelity to God-our love to man, by holiness of heart and life-by a decided separation from the world-and by an entire consecration of body, soul, and spirit to the service of HIM who bought us with his precious blood.

to The Editor has now only to express his

earnest prayer, and to entreat the prayers of the

reader, that the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ may vouchsafe his especial blessing to the circulation of this little volume, that by it, His servant, though dead, may yet speak to the conversion of many, and the comfort and edification of all who peruse its pages.
