In a Convocation holden in the afternoon of the same day, it was agreed, after a division of 39 to 17, that the sum of 10,000l., Exchequer Bills, the property of the University, should be invested in permanent Stock, and the proceeds thereof be placed at the disposal of the Vice-Chancellor and the Curators of the University Galleries for the time being, to defray the annual stipend of 100%. already voted for the Keeper, together with the ordinary expenses of the said Galleries, the accounts being submitted annually to the Delegates of Accounts.
