1 Sam. ii. 30. Them that honour me, I will honour.

Prov. iii. 9. Honour the LORD with thy fubftance, and with the

firft-fruits of all thine increase.

VIII. TO PRAYER.

Job xxxiii. 26. He fhall pray unto God, and he fhall be favourable unto him, and he fhall fee his face with joy.

Exod. xxxiv. 24. Neither fhall any man defire thy land, when thou fhalt go up to appear before the LORD thy GOD, thrice in the year.

Deut. iv. 7. What nation is there fo great, who hath GOD fo nigh unto them, as the LORD our GOD is in all things that we call upon him for?

Grace.

Matt. v. 6. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they fhall be filled.

If. lv. 1. Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money: Come ye, buy and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk, without money, and without price.

John vii. 37. Jefus ftood and cried, faying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

IX. To WISDOM and KNOWLEDGE, and the STUDY of it.

To the Wife.

Ver. 18. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her ; and happy is every one that retaineth her.

Prov. iv. 6. Forfake her not, and fhe fhall preferve thee Love her, and fhe fhall keep thee.
