bodies of his children are fed upon by worms, and thinks how, year after year, their dust mingles with the dust of the earth; and how all that was lovely to the eye is lovely no more, and how all that was music to the ear will be heard no more; and all that gladdened his heart will return no more; he will still be glad while he believes that the immortal spirit has been joyfully delivered from its corruptible tabernacle, and has put on incorruption, and that the mortal has put on immortality; and death is swallowed up in victory; and his heart will melt and overflow in joy, and gratitude, and praise; while he says "thanks be to God that giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

But you may outlive your parents. You may stand over their death-bed and witness their last agony; Oh, let them be comforted in that parting hour, with the hope of meeting you in heaven. When their last look is fixing on your faces, and your last word is sounding in their ear, oh let them hope to hear you next joining with them in the praises of heaven, and to see your spiritual body on the resur

rection morning. Happy, happy is that parent, even in his death, who leaves his children heirs of heaven, and whose last parting thoughts, is the joyful hope of meeting them in heaven to part no more!

THE END.
