15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the Gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!10

16 But they have not all obeyed the Gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our11 report ?12

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the Scripture saith of Elias ?2 how he maketh intercession3 to God against Israel, saying,

3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.

4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. GAL.
