16 For the kingdom is the Lord's; and he is the governor among the nations.

¶ 17 Let the people praise thee, O God: let all the people praise thee.

18 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

19 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

20 For thou, Lord, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.

21 Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holi

ness.

22 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

23 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holi

ness.

28 We will bless the Lord from this time forth, and for evermore: praise the Lord.

LESSON CXXV.

I WILL praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High.

3 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving: I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

4 I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

5 For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

6 I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high.

7 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy 24 Praise ye the Lord. Praise praise all the day long. the Lord, O my soul.

25 While I live, will I praise the Lord I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.

26 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.

27 The Lord was ready to save me therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the Lord.

8 I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning; for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. 9 Unto thee, O my Strength, will I sing for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.

:

10 Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

17 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

18 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

19 Give ear to my words, O Lord; consider my meditation.

20 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King and my God for unto thee will I pray. 21 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

22 I will sing of mercy and judgement: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing.

23 I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy : and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

24 Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts

which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

25 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt-offering and sin-offering hast thou not required.

26 Then said I, Lo, I come : in the volume of the book it is written of me;

27 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

28 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation lo, I have not restrained my lips, O Lord, thou know

est.

29 I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy loving-kindness and thy truth from the great congregation.

30 And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation.

31 The heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Lord: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

32 Let all those that seek thee rejoice, and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

33 So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.

34 Blessed be the Lord, who

daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.

35 He that is our God, is the God of salvation; and unto God the Lord belong the issues from death.

¶36 God be merciful unto us, and bless us, and cause his face to shine upon us.

37 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

38 Let the people praise thee, O God: let all the people praise thee.

39 Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.

40 And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen, and Amen.

LESSON CXXVI.

How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!

2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

3 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house they will be still praising thee.

4 They go from strength to strength; every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

5 O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob.

6 Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

7 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand: I

had rather be a door-keeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wicked

ness.

8 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

9 O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

¶ 10 One thing have I desired of the Lord; that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.

11 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

12 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

13 We took sweet counsel together, and walked into the house of God in company.

14 We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.

15 Let us go speedily to pray before the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts.

16 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

17 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great king.

18 God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

19 Sanctify the Lord of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.

20 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary; and bless the Lord.

21 We have thought of thy loving-kindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

22 The Lord our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.

23 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard ;

24 Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

25 Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.

26 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

27 Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

28 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

29 He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.

30 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting. Amen, and amen.

LESSON CXXVII.

PRAISE ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.

2 The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein,

3 His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

4 He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the Lord is gracious and full of compassion.

:

5 He hath given meat unto them that fear him he will ever be mindful of his covenant. 6 He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

7 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

8 Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.

9 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord the King.

¶ 10 O come let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

11 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

12 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

13 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

14 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves: we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

15 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts

I

with praise; be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

16 For the Lord is good: his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

17 O praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.

18 For his merciful kindness is great towards us: and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever. Praise ye the Lord.

19 Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous for praise is comely for the upright.

20 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgement, seek righteousness, seek meekness.

21 Let the righteous be glad let them rejoice before God; yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

22 O sing unto the Lord a new song: for he hath done marvellous things:

23 Sing unto the Lord, praise ye the Lord: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evil-doers.

24 Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant, and praise is comely.

25 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the heights. 26 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. 27 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.

28 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.

29 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.

30 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

31 Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps;

32 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word: mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars;

33 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl;

34 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth;

35 Both young men and maidens; old men and children:

36 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.

¶37 Praise ye the Lord, praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

38 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

39 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

40 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

41 Praise him upon the loud cymbals; praise him upon the high-sounding cymbals.

42 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
