Evening. In the Church of the Holy Trinity, N. Y., I confirmed twentyone, and addressed them. At my request they were also addressed by the Rev. Dr. Tyng, the Rector's father. The new Church is beautiful and commodious, and the congregation already prosperous.

May 22, Monday. I solemnized a marriage at Hastings.

May 23, Tuesday.-In the Church of the Holy Comforter, Poughkeepsie, I solemnized a marriage.

May 24, Wednesday.-In Trinity Chapel, N. Y., I solemnized a marriage. May 25, Thursday, Ascension Day, A. M.-In St. James', Newtown, I preached, confirmed five, and addressed them, and consecrated the Holy Eucharist.

P. M.-In St. Saviour's, Maspeth, L. I., I confirmed ten (two of them in private), and addressed them.

Evening. In the Church of the Incarnation, I confirmed twenty-two, and addressed them.

May 26, Friday, Evening.--In St. Mary's, Mott Haven, I preached, confirmed six, and addressed them.

May 28, Sunday after Ascension, A. M.-In Calvary, Williamsburgh, I preached, confirmed six (one of them from the Holy Communion, N. Y.), and addressed them.

Two P. M.--I confirmed nineteen in St. Michael's, Brooklyn, and addressed them.

Three and a-half, P. M.-In Grace, Williamsburgh, I preached, confirmed sixteen, and addressed them.

Evening.--In St. Paul's, Williamsburgh, I preached.

May 30, Tuesday, A. M.--In the Church of the Ascension, N. Y., at a special confirmation, I confirmed five, and briefly addressed them.

Evening. In the Academy of Music, Brooklyn, I presided on occasion of the delivery of a Lecture on the Cathedrals of England, by the Rev. George F. Seymour.

June 4, Whitsun-Day, A. M.--In Christ Church, N. Y., I preached, confirmed twenty-two (one of them from St. Clement's, N. Y.), and addressed them, also consecrated the Holy Eucharist.

P. M.--In the Church of the Good Shepherd, I preached, confirmed fire, and addressed them.

Evening.-In St. John's, Brooklyn, I confirmed twenty-six (one of them in private, and one from St. Peter's, Brooklyn), and addressed them, and one previously in St. Peter's, making twenty-seven for St. John's.

June 5, Monday in Whitsun Week, P. M.-I attended a meeting of the Trustees of Columbia College.

Evening. In the Church of the Messiah, Brooklyn, I preached, confirmed twenty-five, and addressed them. This congregation has taken possession of its new and beautiful edifice, and is in a prosperous condition.

June 6, Tuesday, P. M.-I attended a conference of the Foreign Committee of Missions.

Evening. In St. Paul's, Brooklyn, I preached, confirmed seventeen, and addressed them. These, with one confirmed in Paris and one in Western New York, make the number nineteen for the year.

June 7, Wednesday, P. M.-I attended a Committee of the Trustees of Colum bia College.

Evening. I attended a meeting of the Society for the Promotion of Religion and Learning.

June 9, Friday, A. M.-In St. Philip's, I preached, and admitted to the Diaconate Mr. John Peterson (colored).

June 10, Saturday.-In St. Barnabas', Irvington, I attended the Annual Festival of the Parish. The Rector being seriously ill, his place was kindly supplied by the Rev. Dr. Tyng, who has a summer residence in the vicinity. Dr. Tyng addressed the children and the congregation.

June 11, Trinity Sunday and St. Barnabas, A. M.-In the same church, I preached and admitted the Rev. John W. Buckmaster to the Priesthood. I also confirmed thirteen, and briefly addressed them.

Evening. In St. Mark's, Mount Pleasant, I preached, and confirmed four. June 13, Tuesday, A. M.—I consecrated the Chapel of St. Barnabas, Stottsville, Columbia County. This is a beautiful memorial chapel, erected to the memory of the parents of the founder, Mr. Francis D. Stott. It is a chapel to St. John's, Stockport. The sermon was preached by the Right Reverend the Bishop of New Jersey, who had the kindness to be present for that purpose.

June 14, Wednesday, A. M.—I visited St. Stephen's Training College, Annandale, and addressed the students. The college building is now entirely full.

June 15, Thursday, A. M.-In Trinity Church, Madalin, I met the Convocation of Duchess County, and preached.

June 16, Friday, A. M.-At a special ordination in St. John's, Troy, I preached, and admitted to the Diaconate Mr. Walton W. Battershall, A. B., formerly a licentiate of the Methodist denomination.

June 17, Saturday, A. M.—I attended a meeting of the Committee of the Trustees of Columbia College.

June 18, First Sunday after Trinity, A. M.-In Christ Church, Ramapo (Sufferns), I preached, confirmed seven, and addressed them.

P. M.-In St. John's, Greenwood, I confirmed ten (one of them in private), and addressed them.

June 20, Tuesday, A. M.-In St. James', Goshen, I preached, confirmed four, and addressed them.

June 21, Wednesday, A. M.—In Grace, South Middletown, I preached, confirmed twenty-two, and addressed them. The Parish Church has been enlarged and much improved under the direction of the Rev. Mr. Babcock, and the parish is in a highly prosperous state.

June 22, Thursday, A. M.-In St. John's, Monticello, I preached, confirmed six, and addressed them.

June 23, Friday, A. M.-In St. Paul's, Newburgh, I preached, confirmed nineteen (one of them from the Western Diocese), and addressed them.

P. M.-In Christ, Marlborough, I preached, confirmed three, and briefly addressed them.

May 25, Second Sunday after Trinity, A. M.-In St. Michael's, New York, I preached, confirmed fifteen, and addressed them.

P. M.-In St. Mary's, Manhattanville, I confirmed nine, and addressed them. At 6 P. M., I visited the House of Mercy, confirmed nine, and addressed them. The Institution is in a well-ordered and prosperous state.

Evening. In All Angels', New York, I preached, confirmed nine, and addressed them.

June 27, Tuesday, A. M.-In the Chapel on Blackwell's Island, I confirmed fourteen, and addressed them; and afterwards, in private, I confirmed, in the wards, in as many separate confirmations, making in all twenty-one. The Missionary, the Rev. Mr. Cowley, is doing his work faithfully and efficiently. Evening. I met the Trustees of the House of Mercy.

June 28, Wednesday, A. M.-I met the Alumni of the General Theological Seminary. I also attended the commencement of Columbia College.

Evening. I attended the Annual Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the General Theological Seminary.

June 29, St. Peter's Day, Thursday, A. M.-In St. Peter's Church, I presided at the Annual Commencement of the Seminary, and delivered to the members of the Senior Class their diplomas. A very excellent address was delivered by the Bishop of Western New York. After which, I attended a further meeting of the Trustees.

June 30, Friday, Evening.-In Grace, West Farms, I confirmed twenty-three, and addressed them.

July 1, Saturday.—I, with two Presbyters, conducted the final canonical examinations of thirteen candidates for Deacon's Orders.

July 2, Third Sunday after' Trinity, A. M.-In the Memorial Church of Bishop Wainwright (St. John the Evangelist), I admitted to the Diaconate John William Payne, A. B.; Daniel C. Roberts; Henry Anstice, Jr.; Caleb Theophilus Ward, A. B.; Thomas McKee Brown; Richard Bailey Post, Jr.; Samuel Bushnell Lyon; William Cutler Winslow, A. B.; A. Sidney Dealey; Brockholst Morgan; Flavel Scott Mines; Alfred Goldsborough; H. Warren Fay, A. B. Sermon by the Rev. Mr. Goldsborough, of the Diocese of Delaware. In addition to the above, William Welles Holley was admitted to the Diaconate, at my request, by the Bishop of Connecticut, on the 7th of June.

P. M.-In the Church of the Nativity, I preached, confirmed nine, and addressed them.

July 3, Monday, A. M.-In St. John's, Hunter's Point, I advanced the Rev. John Perrin Appleton, the Minister of the Parish, to the Priesthood. Sermon by the Rev. Professor Johnson. I also confirmed sixteen (thirteen of them from St. Thomas', Ravenswood), and addressed them. The new church at Hunter's Point is commodious and beautiful, and the work of Mr. Appleton highly encouraging.

July 5, Wednesday, A. M.—In Grace Church, White Plains, I met the Southern Convocation, also confirmed eleven, and addressed them.

P. M.-In St. James-the-Less, Scarsdale, I preached, confirmed seven, and addressed them.In connection with this Church, a beautiful memorial Chapel has been erected, in memory of the late Mrs. Lang.

July 6, Thursday, A. M.—In Christ Church, Rye, I confirmed eighteen (one of them in private), and addressed them.

July 7, Friday, evening.-In St. John's, Wilmot, I preached, confirmed four, and addressed them.

July 9, Fourth Sunday after Trinity, A. M.-In St. George's, Newburgh, I confirmed fifty-one, and addressed them.

P. M.-In St. Andrew's, Walden, I preached, confirmed six, and addressed them.

July 11, Tuesday, A. M.-In St. James', Hyde Park, I confirmed five, and addressed them.

July 13, Thursday, A. M.—At Annandale, I attended a meeting of the Trustees of St. Stephen's College, and afterwards the Commencement of the Institution. This most useful nursery for the Sacred Ministry is in a highly efficient and prosperous condition.

Evening. In the Church of the Holy Cross, Warrensburg, I preached, confirmed four, and addressed them. This is a new and beautiful Church, in a charming situation, and the Parish, recently organized, is in a prosperous condition, under the Ministry of the Rev. Mr. Crary.

Aug. 14, Monday, A. M.—In Christ Church, Pottersville, I preached, confirmed five, and addressed them.
