From this record of a year's work, it will be seen that there are many signs of spiritus] growth in the Parish, for which the Rector desires to thank God and to ascribe all the praise to Him, without whose blessing no work can prosper.

The movement for building a Parsonage still continues, and has advanced as far as the collecting of funds, and considering of plans.

Meanwhile, City Island has been organized into a separate parish, an Incorporation procured, the former assistant of the Parish elected as Rector; and they are prepared to apply for admission to convention at its present session. The important post at Hart Island is included in the bounds of the new Parish.

The building purchased for a Chapel at Pelhamville bas been reconstructed, and made comfortable for use, at a cost of about $500, borrowed for that purpose. A student from the Gen. Theol. Seminary has rendered good service at this station.

The Rector of Christ Church, Riverdale, would respectfully report that the Parish was organized, and he was elected Rector, on the 10th day of this September; that the Church building, which is complete, and paid for, and will be consecrated on the 4th of October, was first used on the first Sunday in September, on which occasion three infants were baptized; that the Holy Communion was administered on the second Sunday in September to fifty persons; that the Church will seat about three hundred persons, and thus far has been full at every service; that it is impossible at present to give the number of families, of individuals, or of communicants; that the offerings at the only administration of the Holy Communion amounted to $86 40.
