Behold what the Almighty wrought for Israel! how he had multiplied them amidst cruel bondage and oppression! how he had protected them amidst the awful plagues! and now, after a solemn feast, brings them forth with wealth and honour. O the strong hand! the stretched out arm! the mercy, justice, and faithfulness which is here displayed. He who is now about to fulfil his promise, who can and does make all things new.
