327. What is said respecting sinning against the Holy Spirit?

Is. 63. 10. But they rebelled, and vexed his Holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy.

Mat. 12. 31. All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And who

soever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Heb. 6. 11. And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end. That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

2 Pet. 1. 10. Give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.

331. Is the full assurance of hope attainable ?

Job 19. 25. I know that my Redeemer liveth.

And said, My Lord, if now I have found favor in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree: And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on.

334. Ought we to be hospitable to strangers?

Lev. 19. 10. Thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and the stranger. 33. And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

Humility and Submission.

335. Are humility and submission towards God required?

Is. 45. 9. Wo unto him that striveth with his Maker! Rom. 9. 20, 21.

What doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Mat. 6. 9. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name, Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.

Jam. 4. 7. Submit yourselves therefore to God. 10. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

336. Are humility and submission towards God exemplified?

337. Is humility a condition of salvation?

Lev. 26. 41. If then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: Then will I remember my covenant. Pr. 15. 33. Before honor is humility.

Lk. 18. 14. Every one that exalteth himself shall be abased, and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Jam. 4. 6. God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God.

338. Has God encouraged humility and submission?
