60. Did Christ deny himself?

61. How did Christ regard the world and its honors?

63. Did Christ love mankind?

Ac. 10. 38. Who went about doing good, and heal ing all that were oppressed of the devil.

Rom. 5. 6. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die. -But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Ep. 5. 2. Walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God.

1 Jn. 3. 16. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us.

64. Was Christ compassionate ?

Mat. 9, 35. And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness, and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

Mat. 15. 32. I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.

Mat. 23. 37. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not.

Mat. 11. 29. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Mat. 21. 5. Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy king cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

68. Was Christ prayerful?

Mat. 14. 23. And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

Lk. 11. 1. As he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

Lk. 22. 31. Simon, satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for thee that thy faith fail not.

Jn. 14. 16. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever.

Heb. 7. 25.

He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

69. Was Christ a bold reprover?

Is. 11. 3. He shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

Mal. 3. 2. But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fuller's soap. And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver; that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in right

eousness.
