96. Have one class of bishops, elders or pastors ecclesia tical authority over ot hers ?
Mat. 20. 25. Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let hiin be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
97. Upon whom was the authority of church discipline conferred ?
Mat. 18. 15. Moreover, if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. Ps. 92. 13 Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing.
