The TitheXulon Press, 2007 - 436 páginas There is no tithe. There are no offerings. (1 Corinthians 16:1-2) Vows and pledges are of the evil one. (Matthew 5:37b) Prosperity theology is questionable at best. Yet, many church leaders teach and some even demand the tithe of the Old Covenant as a method of giving - while God's Old Covenant of law has been made obsolete, null and Void. (Hebrews 8) Discover how to free yourself from the legalism of law and to give with the freedom and liberty of grace as led by the Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 9:7) Discover why we are neither to vow nor pledge. Discover why the prosperity gospel message is dangerous. Moreover, explore the basics of stewardship as we examine the Words of Scripture and the views of many Bible scholars' on the tithe, grace giving, law, grace, and other related issues under the New Covenant of grace. Jim DeFazio, B.A., M.Ed., Th.D., is described as an educator, communicator, and motivator committed to learning and teaching the Bible. Beginning in 1977 as a high school teacher/coach turned financial professional and national speaker, Jim was forced to retire in 2006 due to a life-threatening bout with cancer and has been miraculously healed by God's grace and mercy. Jim has lectured in 26 states and three countries on topics of leadership and the Bible and has written for magazines and other publications. He now continues to study and teach the Bible while writing on issues germane to the lives of all believers. Jim is currently working on another manuscript, Biblical Responses To Financial Issues, which, Lord willing, will be out in 2008. He and his wife Brenda and their two children Amanda and Matthew reside in western Pennsylvania. You can contact Jim at his website, www.bfconcepts.com. |
