Here the gate of immortality had been opened to him, and he had entered in, according to the words of David.

"Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of Glory shall come in.

Who is this King of Glory? The Lord of Hosts, he is the King of Glory." Then the gate was shut, according to the words of Ezekiel.

"Then said the Lord unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it, because the Lord, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut."

He was then the greater light, which is as the sun, which rules the day.

When the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place, and suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting, and there appeared unto them cloven tongues, like as of fire, and sat upon each of them. (a) And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance.” And they heard every man in his own tongue, in which he was born.(b)

And it never left them, so that they valued not their lives unto death, but became martyrs, because the door was shut, till the fulness of times; and, in the Scriptures, they are called Saints of the Most High. The sixth Day. The fulness of times: the gathering of Israel.

And now the last thousand years of the six are come from the creation, and Jesus said, Except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved; but for the elect's sake whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days." (a)

And in the Prophets' language of Scripture we are told, that "One day is with Jehovah as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."(b)

And Jesus says, " And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants."

is entered into the latter half of the watch. And the spirit of truth is come according to the promise. "Even the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him; but ye know him, for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." And Israel shall know it

"And this Gospel of the kingdom, shall be preached in all the world, for a witness unto all nations; and then shall | the end come."

And the same spirit is now gathering Israel, according to the prophecy of Jacob, "The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. (a) And according to the prophecy of Isaiah "And it shall come to pass, in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again, the second time, to recover the remnant of his people. And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah.

Then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. Which is at the fulness of times.

But if he says, as a natural man, that he has no sin, he deceives himself, and the truth is not in him; but that which beareth him from evil keepeth him; but he that is begotten of God, blood is not the life of him but the Spirit; so that he keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not, but must serve him.

When Israel has done the work, of which Jesus was the pattern, the Lord will come according to the words of Peter.

"And he will send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: whom the heavens must receive until the times of restitution of all things."

"And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together." And according to the words of Jesus, "The bridegroom cometh: go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps, and they that were ready went in, and the door was shut." (a)
