within themselves, this Man blafphemeth. [L.] And the Scribes, and the Pharifees began to reafon, faying, [Mr.] Why doth this Man thus fpeak Blafphemies? Who can FORGIVE Sins, but God alone? And immediately when Jefus [M.] KNEW, [L.] and perceived [Mr.] in his Spirit [M.] their THOUGHTS, [Mr.] that they fo reasoned within themfelves: [L.] he anfwering, faid unto them, [Mr.] Why reafon ye thefe THINGS in your Hearts? [M.] Wherefore think you EVIL in your Hearts ? For [Mr.] whether is it eafier to fay to the fick of the Palfy, Thy SINS be FORGIVEN thee? or to fay, ARISE, and take up thy Bed, and walk? But that (a) ye may know that the Son of MAN hath Power on Earth to FORGIVE Sins. [M.] (Then faith he to the fick of the Palfy) [Mr.] I fay unto thee, Arife, take up thy Bed, and go thy way into thine Houfe. [L.] And immediately he arofe up before them, and took up [Mr.] the Bed [L.] whereon he lay, [Mr.] and went forth before them all, infomuch that they were all amazed: [M] and he departed to his own House [L.] glorifying God. [M.] But when the Multitude faw it, they marvelled, [L.] and were all amazed; [M.] and they GLORIFIED God, which had given fuch Power unto Men, [L.] and were filled with Fear, faying, We have seen ftrange Things to day, [Mr.] we never faw it on this fashion.

Then faid Jefus unto them, I will ask you one Thing, Is it lawful on the Sabbath Days to do Goop, or to do EVIL? to fave LIFE, or to DETROY it? [M] But they held their Peace. And he faid unto them, [M.] What Man fhall there be among you, that fhall have one Sheep, and if it fall into a Pit on the Sabbath Day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? How much then is a MAN better than a SHEEP? Wherefore it is lawful to DO WELL on the Sabbath Days. [Mr.] And when he had looked round about them all with Anger, being grieved for the HARDNESS of their HEARTS. [M] Then faith he to the Man, STRETCH forth thine Hand: [L.] And he did fo, [Mr.] and stretched it forth, and his HAND was RESTORED whole as the other.

[L]AND it came to pafs, when he was in a certain City, behold [L.] a Man ful of LEPROSY [M.] came to him, [L] who feeing Jefus, and kneeling down to him, fell on his Face, and befought him, faying unto him, Lord, if thou wilt, thou can't make me CLEAN. [Mr.] And Fefus, moved with COMPASSION, put forth his Hand, and touched him, and faith unto him, I WILL be thou clean. And as foon as he had spoken, immediately the Leprofy departed from him, and he was cleanfed. And he ftraitly charged him to tell no Man, and forthwith fent him away; and faith unto him, See thou fay nothing to any Man, but go thy way, fhew thy felf to the Prieft, and offer for thy cleanfing thofe Things according as Mofes commanded, for a Teftimony unto them. But he

ND it came to pafs, as he went to Jerufalem, that he paffed through the midst of Samaria

and Galilee.

12. And as he entred into a certain Village, there met him TEN Men that were LEPERS, which flood afar off. 13. And they lifted up their Voices, and said, Jesus, Mafter, have Mercy on us.

14. And when he faw them, he faid unto them, Go fhew your felves unto the Priests. And it came to pass that as they went, they were CLEANSED.

15. And one of them, when he faw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud Voice glorified God,

16. And fell down on his Face at his Feet, giving him Thanks and he was a Samaritan.

17. And fefus anfwering, faid, Were there not Ten cleanfed? But where are the Nine?

18. There are not found that returned to give GLORY to God, fave this Stranger.

19. And he faid unto him, Arife, go thy way; thy FAITH hath made thee whole.

ND he entred into Capernaum. And a certain CENTURION'S Servant, who was dear unto him, was SICK, and ready to DIE. And when he heard of Jefus, he fent unto him the Elders of the Jews, befeeching him that he would come and heal his Servant. And when they came to Jefus, they befought him instantly, faying, That he was worthy for whom he fhould do this. For he loveth our Nation, and he hath built us a Synagogue. Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the Houfe, the Centurion fent Friends to him, faying unto him, Lord, trouble not thy felf, for I am not WORTHY that thou fhouldft enter under my Roof. Wherefore neither thought I MY SELF worthy to come unto thee: but fay in a WORD, and my Servant fhall be healed. [M.] And when Jefus was entred into Capernaum, there came unto him a Centurion, befeeching him, and faying, Lord, my Servant lieth at home fick of the Palfy, grievously tormented. And Jefus faith unto him, I will come and heal him. The Centurion anfwered and faid, Lord, I am not WORTHY that thou shouldft come under my Roof: but fpeak the WORD only, and my Servant fhall be healed. [L.] For I alfo am a Man fet under Authority, having under me Soldiers, and I fay unto one, Go, and he goeth: and to another, Come, and he cometh: and to my Servant, Do this, and he doth it. When Jefus heard thefe Sayings, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and faid unto the People that followed him, Verily I fay unto you, I have not found fo GREAT FAITH, no, not in Ifrael. [M.] And I fay unto you, that many fhall come from the Eaft and Weft, and fhall fit down. with Abraham, Ifaac, and Jacob, in the Kingdom of Heaven. But the Children of the Kingdom fhall be caft out into outer Darkness, there fhall be weeping and gnashing of Teeth. And Jefus faid unto the Centurion, Go R 2
