1 Christ's resurrection declared: 9 he appeareth to the women, 16 and to his discito: 18 and sendeth them to teach and puze. N the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white aS SnOW 4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. 5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here; for he is risen, as he said. Čome, See the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples, that he is risen from the dead, and behold, he oeth before you into Galilee ; ere shall ye see him : lo, i have told you. 8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre, with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. .9 || And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. 10.Then said Jesus unto them,
Be not afraid: go tell my brethren, that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me. 11 II Now, when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. 12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, 13 Saying, Sayye, His disciles came by night, and stole im away while we siept. 14 And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. 15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught : and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day. 16 T Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him : but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 || Go ye therefore and teach all nations, o: them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you : and, lo, I am with you o even unto the end of the world. Amen.

And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wiletness. 13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days tempted of Satan ; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him. 14 TI Now, after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. 16 TI Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 17 And Jesus said unto them Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of unen. 18 And o sook their nets, an

And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alpheus, sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him. 15 TI And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many, and they followed him. 16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners ? 17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole, have no need of the Fo but o that are sick: came not to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance. 18 And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees, used to fast; and they come, and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not ' 19 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
