O COME, new fongs of triumph fing!

Loud let us thank our heav'nly King!
For we our voices high should raise,
When our Salvation's rock we praise.

O come, to his full courts repair,
And bow with adoration there!
Let us before him humbly fall,
And God the Lord, our Maker call!

For God the Lord, enthron'd in state,
Unrivall❜d rules, in power great:
The spacious earth is in his hand,
Its fecret wealth at his command.

He is the Shepherd, He will keep
In pastures green his chosen sheep:
To Him we'll give in joyful fongs
The praise that to his name belongs.

PSALM XCVII.

St. Michael's.

THE Lord is King-Jehovah reigns—

The rifing hills, the spreading plains,
Their gen'ral joy confefs.

The earth is glad-all nature smiles-
And nations with unnumber'd ifles
Their great Creator blefs.

Array'd as judge, behold he comes !-
His awful voice unbars the tombs :
The hills with terror shake:

Before Him burns devouring fire

The mountains melt, the feas retire,
And earth's foundations quake.

But, while his foes with pale difinay
Fly from the fight and fhun the day,
With deep, heart-breaking, figh;

Lift

up your heads, ye faints! rejoice! Nor dread the folemn trumpet's voice!— Redemption draweth nigh.

The Lord is King-Jehovah reigns-
The rifing hills, the fpreading plains,
Their gen'ral joy confefs.

The earth is glad-all nature fmiles-
And nations with unnumber'd ifles

Their great Creator blefs.

YE people all, on earth who dwell,

Sing to the Lord with chearful voice!
Serve him with fear! his mercies tell!
Come ye before him and rejoice!

For know, the Lord is God alone;
Know, that from Him we all proceed:
He made, He claims us for his own,
The sheep that in his pasture feed.

O enter then his gates with praife!
Approach his courts with holy joy!
Your hearts with warm devotion raife!
Your tongues let grateful hymns employ!

For God is gracious, juft, and good,
His mercy is for ever fure:

His truth at all times firm hath stood,
And fhall from age to age endure.

Ilington.
