PHRISTIAN Perfection will perhaps feem to the common reader to imply some state of life which every one need not afpire after; that it is made up of fuch ftrictneffes, retirements, and particularities of devotion, as are neither neceffary, nor practicable by the gene rality of Chriftians. BUT I must answer for myself, that I know of only one common Christianity, which is to be the com. mon means of falvation to all men. |
