From Isaiah 26. 1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah || we have a strong city, salvation will God' appoint for | walls and | bulwarks. 2 Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may en ter in. 3 Thou wilt keep him in | perfect | peace whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in | thee. 4 Trust ye in the | Lord for | ever || for in the Lord Jehovah' is | ever | lasting | strength. 5 For he bringeth down them that | dwell on | high the lofty | city he | layeth - it low. 6 He layeth it low, even | to the | ground || he bringeth it | e ven to the dust. 7 The foot shall tread it | down || even the feet of the poor, and the | steps of the needy. 8 The way of the just is up rightness || | Thou most upright, dost | weigh the path of the just. 9 Yea, in the way of thy | judgments || O Lord, I have we | waited for thee. 10 The desire of our soul' is to thy | name | and to the remembrance | of | thee. 11 With my soul have I desired | thee - in the | night || yea, with my spirit within me | will I | seek thee early. 12 For when thy judgments are in the earth || the inhabitants of the | world - will learn righteousness. 13 O Lord our | God || other lords beside thee have had do | min - ion | over | us. 14 But by thee | only || will we make | mention of thy name. 106. 8 Isaiah 12. 1 And in that day thou shalt | say | O Lord, I will praise | thee. 2 Though thou wast | an gry with me, || thine anger is turned away, and thou | comfort edst me. 3 Behold, God is my salvation || I will | trust and not be afraid. 4 For the Lord Jehovah is my strength, and | my song | He also is become my sal va tion. 5 Therefore with joy shall ye draw | water || out of the wells | of sal | va | tion. 6 And in that day | shall ye | say || praise the Lord' call up on his name. I 7 Declare his doings among the | people || make mention that his name | is ex | al ted. 8 Sing unto the Lord, for he hath done | excellent things || this is known in all the earth. 9 Cry out and shout, thou inhabi | tant of | Zion for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee. dd did 8 From Isaiah 25. 107. 1 O Lord, thou art | my | God [ I will exalt thee, I will praise thy | name. 2 For thou hast done | wonderful | things || thy counsels of old are | faithful | ness and | truth. 3 For thou hast made a defenced | city - a | ruin a palace of strangers to be no city, it shall never be built. 4 Therefore shall the strong people | glorify | thee the city of the terrible | nations - shall fear thee. 5 For thou hast been a strength to the poor || a strength to the needy - in his distress. 6 A refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat when the blast of the terrible ones, is as a storm against the | wall. 7 Thou shalt bring down the noise of | stran gers as the heat in a dry place. 8 Even the heat with the shadow | of a | c'oud || the branch of the terrible ones | shall be brought low. 9 And in this mountain shall the | Lord of | Hosts|| make unto all people a | feast of | fat | things. 10 A feast of wines on the lees, of fat things | full of marrow || of wines on the | lees well re | fined. 11 And he will destroy | in this | mountain || the face of the covering | cast - over all people. 12 And the vail that is spread over all nations || He will swallow up | death in | vic to ry. 13 And the Lord God' will wipe away tears from off all faces || and the rebuke of his people | shall he take a ❘ way. 14 From off all the earth || for the | Lord hath spoken | it. 15 And it shall be said in that day, Lo | this is our God || we have waited for him, and he will save us. 16 This is the Lord, we have | waited | for him | we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. 8 108. From Isaiah 40. 1 Comfort ye, comfort ye my people | saith your God || speak ye comfortably to Jerusa | lem and cry - unto | her. 2 That her warfare | is accomplished || that her in | i- qui | ty is | pardoned. 3 The voice of him that crieth in the wil derness || prepare ye the way of the Lord, 4 Make straight in the | desert || a high' | way for our God. 5 Every valley shall be ex | alted || and every mountain and hill | shall be made | low; 6 And the crooked shall be made | straight || and the | rough | places | plain; 7 And the glory | of the vealed, Lord || shall | be re | 8 And all flesh shall see it together || for the mouth of the 9 The voice shall I cry?
