Display thy love in every heart, And keep in perfect peace. With harmony each bosom fill, That we may own to thee
How good, how pleasant, 'tis to dwell In peaceful unity.
UR souls by love together knit, Cemented, joined in one;
One hope, one heart, one mind, one voice, 'Tis heaven on earth begun:- And, walking in the light of God, Communing with our Lord, Conversing oft on pardoning love,
'Tis heaven in thought and word. Lord, when thou mak'st thy jewels up, And sett'st thy starry crown; And all thy sparkling gems shall shine, Proclaimed by thee thine own,- May we, thy little band of love, Öf sinners saved by grace, From glory into glory changed, With joy behold thy face. 357.
MAY the grace of Christ our Saviour, And the Father's boundless love,
With the Holy Spirit's favor,
Rest upon us from above.
Thus may we abide in union
With each other, and the Lord;
And possess, in sweet communion, Joys of heaven around His board.
CHRISTIAN brethren, e'er we part, Let us unite in voice and heart; Our solemn thanks to God to raise, The final song of grateful praise. Although we here may meet no more: We know there is a happier shore; Where we, released from toil and pain; Shall once, for ever, meet again.
GRACIOUS Lord, we look to thee! May we in thy name agree, Thee to follow, Prince of Peace, Bidding strife and envying cease. Make us one in heart and mind; Courteous, pitiful, and kind; Holy, meek, in thought and word; Altogether like our Lord!
As thy household, may we here One another's burdens bear; Then our ransomed souls remove, To thy family above.
GOD'S Messiah shed his blood!
On this Rock our hopes we raise : Thou hast brought us near to God; Thine the work, and thine the praise.
'Tis thy will that we should be Separate from all around; We with all thy will agree,
And would wholly thine be found.
We would bear each other's load, Faithful to each other prove, Till we gain the saints' abode, Till we take our place above.
NOW we meet to part again, But when we meet above, With the dear Redeemer slain, Through his abounding love; Then we shall together sit,
And praise the Lamb upon the throne; Ever worship at his feet,
And know as we are known.
Till that day we patient wait, And thank him for his grace; Knowing we're in him complete, Made meet to see his face. We will rest upon his word, And sing of his salvation free: Holy, holy, holy Lord! All glory be to thee.
LORD, dismiss us with thy blessing, Fill our hearts with joy and peace;
Let us each, thy love possessing, Triumph in redeeming grace. O refresh us!
Travelling through this wilderness. Thanks we give, and adoration, For the gospel's joyful sound; May the fruits of thy salvation In our hearts and lives abound; May thy presence
With us evermore be found.
LORD, when together here we meet, And taste thy heavenly grace, Thy smiles are so divinely sweet, We're loth to leave the place. Yet, Father, since it is thy will That we must part again, O let thy gracious presence still With every one remain.
Thus make us all in Christ be one, Bound with the cords of love;
Till gathered round thy glorious throne, We joyous meet above.
All sin and sorrow from each heart, Shall then for ever fly,
And not one thought that we must part Once interrupt our joy.
NOT to the terrors of the Lord,
The tempest, fire, and smoke;
Not to the thunder of that word Which God on Sinai spoke; But we are come to Zion hill, The city of our God;
Where milder words declare his will, And spread his love abroad. Behold the innumerable host Of angels, clothed in light! Behold the spirits of the just ! Whose faith is turned to sight. Behold the blest assembly there! Whose names are writ in heaven; And God, the Judge of all, declares Their sins are all forgiven.
Saints here, and those in Jesus dead, But one communion make; All join in Christ, their living head, And of his grace partake.
In such society as this
My weary soul would rest:
The man that dwells where Jesus is,
Must be for ever blest.
SWEET the time, exceeding sweet! When the saints together meet; When the Saviour is the theme,- When all join to sing of him. Sing we then eternal love,
Such as did the Father move :
