'From hence it appears, that the Ifrael⚫ites will never any more, as a nation, for'fake God, but will from henceforth ferve him in truth and faithfulnefs; which • obedience will entitle them to all the ⚫ temporal bleffings God has promised them. • At this time alfo we judge the pro'phecies will be fulfilled, which relate to

the exaltation of the Ifraelites above all people, agreeably to what Mofes affured 'them in Deut. xxvi. 19. xv. 6. This was indeed in fome measure true in Solomon's reign, but continued fo a very few years; whereas now it will now be more fully accomplished. Thus God, by Isaiah, fpeaking to Jerufalem fays, The Gentiles 'fhall come to thy light, &c. the fons of frangers fhall build up thy walls, and their

kings fhall minifter unto thee; and the nation and kingdom that will not ferve thee shall * perish, &c. The fons alfo of them that af*flicted thee shall come bending to thee, &c. they fhall call thee the city of the Lord, &c. • I will make thee an eternal excellency, &c. And again, firangers fhall ftand and feed your flocks, &c, but ye shall be named the priests of the Lord, the minifters of our God,

&c. He then adds, all that fee them fhall acknowledge them, that they are the feed which the Lord has bleft. Ifaiah lxi. 6, 9.
